I completely agree with OMEGA. You'll want to get within that range of temp. to make sure your bedroom stays warm and welcoming. The best thing about using LEDs for cove lighting is they last for years (because, let's be honest, who wants to climb back up to the cove area to replace those lights??) and are very energy efficient so you can leave them on for long periods of time. You'll also want to try to stay away from rope lighting. We've had quite a few customers who have had issues with even light distribution when using rope lights and have been quite happy switching to LED strips!

A houzz contributor, not too long ago, had made a wine rack out of 4'x4' wooden pallets, that are used in the US to move a load of goods with a fork-lift truck. Perhaps they have them in your country. He cut them in half so they were only two feet deep and stacked them up to high counter height. Perhaps a large round table might mean a rug is not at all necessary. It could be a metal tray table, or carved wood like Rebecca Mitchell Interiors illustrates. Ideas also to consider, using multiple tables can be found at http://www.houzz.com/multiple-coffee-tables. I also agree with comments above that some color is needed on the walls. You could then hang round mirrors, or an unusual curved shape like RMI shows above.

Is the indent in the wall where you have the TV now, supposed to be for a TV or is it to be a closed up closet?? You could switch the room with living area where you walk in but then you cannot wall mount the TV due to windows. Plus you might like eating near windows for more lighting drama. Also , now seeing your hall , I think turning the dining table 90 degrees from how I placed it, would fit better in your space. You could consider an area rug under the table as well , which would help to define the space when you enter. Also keeping a runner and a vase with either fresh ( or nice fake) flowers on the table, will make it flow better with the living room area furniture.
