I painted mine super bright white (appliance white) two years ago and have had no problem. I think it would depend on a number of factors - how often you're able to do a thorough cleaning (like spring cleaning), what kind/color cleaner you use, how much grease gets on them that isn't filtered through the range hood, etc.
The white color on the cabinets will age and change their shade over time. I would recommand for you to have only the cabinets in white and nothing else around them in that color. If the appliances, countertops, tile, etc. are in other colors and finishes, the aging white will not be visible. But if you have your cookinig range and cabinets in white, you will see the yellowing on one or the other over time.
