Do they have to be paint buckets? I would think they would not be good for gardening? Maybe others will know more about that. But in the U.S. you can get 5 gallon buckets from some local businesses like bakeries, food store chains, places like those that regularly use items they get in the buckets. For instance a bakery usually gets stuff in 5 gallon buckets and often has to throw them into a dumpster as they can only save so many. Some businesses now sell them for a small fee, maybe 1 dollar U.S. each and some just give them away. I think the cost of shipping them to India would be more than the cost of buying them. You could try setting up a fund on Kiva.org and possibly get enough donations to purchase food grade buckets instead of using ones from paint. Well, I think people tend to do this only where (a) the weather is pretty mild all year round, or (b) the main use of the house is in warm seasons (e.g., beach houses). Otherwise, you'd have a bathroom you couldn't use in stormy or cold weather, which would be a problem. But if the weather is nice (e.g., California), then it can be nice to shower in the out of doors, with plants and the sky...

The above mentioned ideas are for you to figure out what suits the space the best and accordingly customize. Materials like wallpaper, 3D paneling, rafters, veneers, wall cladding etc. come in smaller modules and hence work for almost all wall sizes. It is totally up to you to choose what look you desire and what material you want to go with. No image is ever going to give you the exact feel and aesthetic of the space. 'Pros' are that the finish looks sleek and seamless, especially when all the shutters are finished in the same colour. The 2 main 'cons' in the case of handle-less shutters is that 1. greasy finger marks can appear on the front face over a period of time. 2. there is a high probability of the user trying to pull at a shutter on the side where the hinge is. Handles allow the user to immediately see in which direction a shutter (or a pair of shutters) will open. If there are no handles, it is hard to tell and over a period of time the hinges could come loose. This is also the reason I don't fix the handles in the middle of the width. It was very fashionable to do that at one time, but it is just plain inconvenient
