Is that carpeting or tile flooring? I ask cause FLOR's recycled carpet tiles come in so many options. This could be your purple and green or orange or red or whatever you like that's bright for baby! On a portion of exposed floor even.

How are the curtains working out? Are there shades of some kind to control excess sunlight / naps during the day! :)

The bed should be placed against the wall in the south or the west so that your legs point towards the north or the east when you lie down. Ideally, paint your bedroom off-white, or cream. Avoid dark colors.

these are sliding windows to the balcony... and i have got tiles and no carpeting..

What colors do you generally like - cause you probably have ideas yourself!! Do you have a baby blanket or such already?

It would seem that you want a neutral for the investment of that whole wall - your palette depends on what goes on that wall.

No experience with babies actually - but seems there are endless combinations - this was just the first / type in and select "Stories" for good articles like this with at least 2 ideas.

Hi Navrati , Congratulations for the up coming arrival of your new baby. Your room looks nice and spacious. I like the nice windows. I would paint the walls in a warm off white. Then go very colourful on curtains, rugs, and bedding. At the moment I love tropical colours, like teal, turquoise, coral and green. I love plants in rooms. I don't know if you have an ikea near you? They sell really long curtains in nice trendy colors. Good luck.

Ikea / how long are they.... maybe Ikea's own wide panels [like ones above] come in blackout but don't think they do -- all need good sleep!!!!!
