It seems the WC would be better on the top wall with the vanity. If you have a walk-in shower, it doesn't need to be quite so wide, and you can move the entrance to the bottom to be more generous. If you have a tub/shower combo, you don't need the partition at all. Consider flipping the door swing unless you're really concerned with privacy.

I think you are talking about a vanity to put in the bedroom, not the bathroom. Is that correct? If it is correct, then I think your idea of cherry wood for the vanity is a good one. It certainly doesn't have to match exactly. In fact, we mix a lot of wood stains these days. If you're interested in a vanity for the bathroom, that's a totally different thing. I see part of the bathroom in the photos. You could have a faux artist come and paint the existing bath vanity to match your bed if you want to go in that direction. But you state that you want a modern bathroom, so maybe you have something else in mind. I've selected 4 different baths that might appeal to you. Sorry but I don't understand your pictures. You are talking about 2 bathrooms but we see only one floor plan. Is the 1.52M x 2.24M the 5 x 8 bathroom in your dilemma title. If so, can we see the floor plan of the 5 x 9 bathroom? Is the space with a small rectangle in the middle the extra 5.5 x 4.9 ft space you mentioned in your dilemma? Also 1.52M x 2.24M is in reality 5'0" x 7'4". This is 8 in. less. It can make a big difference on how to place fixtures in a bathroom.

With white fixtures, keep your floors and all tile white or a stone that is mostly white. You can paint the walls above the wainscot (which might be glossy painted wood or beadboard, or you might employ a cabinet for the sink that was painted a very soft sky blue. One narrow trim piece of tile running through the white tile might be the same tone of sky blue. Then, add blue linens / towels / etc. [houzz=] Now, consider what other colors are in your home and select one that is clear and soft and lovely with white. You might use that color instead of sky blue. I used sky blue because it is the color of water and therefore always appropriate in the bath, but you can make the bath flow with the colors you have or plan to have in your home. If this was a master bathroom instead of a common or guest bath, I would shift the choices of stone and tile from white plus white to a lovely off-white, cream, or almond tone - like travertine. Use a neutral like chocolate on the cabinet and add color only with linens and perhaps some art on the wall. [houzz=]
