Kitchen design suggestions rectangular :-/
Comments (19)Hi , I think if ever you want to sell this property in the future - you will need to follow Vastu guidelines in the design at this point - otherwise this may hinder resale. Assuming that the architect has followed this and the plan is set - I would suggest you use colours and artwork to create the look that you are after ... Also consider shelving going across the full window wall - this will give you extra storage and also somewhere to grow herbs etc in front of the window - maybe even have a deeper shelf at worktop height and a stool infront of the window ? If you do a picture search on elements that you would like to add - ie kitchen "turquoise accessories" or kitchen "gold" etc you will get lots of inspirational images to help you get an attractive kitchen ... Best of luck with it all ! :-)...See MoreKitchen countertop
Comments (14)Hi Sharmilaks, My experience with glass is that it will scratch eventually and being such a high gloss marks will show. I would agree with DVG and have a look at Quartz Stone or Composite stone such brands as Compac, Quartz Forms, Diresco, Quarelle, Caesarstone, Arena stone, Uni Stone, Cimstone....See MoreKitchen plan
Comments (6)Hi Fathma, In the wet kitchen I'd suggest you have a bit more space infront of the washer dryer if you intend it to open into the room - or you have it opening facing the door - you need at least 1m crouch space infront of an appliance like this - also make sure you keep walkways clear enough so that you can replace larger appliances if and when they go wrong. In the main kitchen I think you might need a bit more clearance between the peninsular and the sink /hob wall. I'd suggest 1m to 1.2m if possible. Not sure where I the world you are - but check with your local kitchen supply people that what you intend to install is agreeable with local build code - this differs from county to county ! Enjoy your new kitchen when it's installed ! :-)...See MoreNeed Inputs:: standalone kitchen units over continuos platform-cabinet
Comments (8)@Cornerstone design studio: Apologies for making big post; thought that more info will help. @Rupal ji, If it sounds like I dont need any changes; my apologies for that. Let me put it in short,"I am looking for options that give modern facilities without leaving good things from old charm/ comforts. " Thanks for the straight forward comments. I shall try to edit my original post to make it simpler and that looks open to new ideas....See MoreTom Fitzgerald
