Here are a few examples - Aluminium grills are rust free, light weight and offers resistance to bending, breakage and fire. They go well with contemporary linear designs and need to be painted else they look pretty commercial and cheap for a household. Wrought iron is incomparable when it comes to strength. However, it is not rust resistant and needs frequent painting to protect it. The advantage of using wrought iron is that you can achieve a colonial look with a variety of designs it has to offer.
