Hello there, You could scoop them out with a flat trowel and scrap cement backing with that as well. But it won't be much of a success and you will lose around 30-40 %. You could DIY broken tiles mosaics as an art ; frame and fix it on the wall itself with an appropriate glue. Or search for other DIYs on youtube. You could replace them with decals as described @cornerstone studio , but there's a catch ; high heat areas could deform and de-glue the decals as well. @Cornerstone Designs 888.4851.444 Studio, Sorry but the design is finalized. Bright, Light and White. That was my idea for the kitchen. The only miss is the grooves in the cabinet doors. Apparently the design company I hired do not work with MDF or MDF with Duco Paint. For the tiles, gloss finish is something I am not looking for. And since the beveled edges are also unavailable, I am planning to go for basic matte white and black tiles from Johnson's. As below - Any suggestion with the colors though?

Hi, I think full wooden tiles will feel like pathetic. Try disparate like combinations of glossy and wood tiles or like 2 walls and floor with wood tiles and other 2 walls light colored glossy tiles to break the monotony.Thank u.
