Nikhil, personally I think an entrance stairway like that is a great place to hang personal and family photos, but you don't need to limit it to that, anything can be mixed in that you like. Don't restrict yourself to frame size with a photo either, a small photo with a large mat around it and in a large frame can look really good and can draw the attention in a group of photos. A staircase is one place where more is good too, but getting the balance right is another thing. Search on this website for examples, you will find a lot and use them to get the feel of how to arrange and group your photos. If you want to highlight the staircase wall then your could use earthy colours such as a yellow ochre! The wall could be enhanced even more by using suitable frames and making a good collage composition for all the photos that you have (I can see many lying on the dining table). This colour would match well with wooden furnitures

What a wonderful outdoor space. Yes it is tight but there are many options. In that tiny corner by the door ( last picture) you might want a tall plant or a small round table that could hold drinks or snacks.You can have a small eating area or just a place to sit. Lots of green and perhaps flowering plants will add beauty to the space. If your air conditioner drips, just put a plant below to catch the water.Add color with pillows or a small indoor outdoor area rug. In the attached photos you can see how people have added just a few pieces of furniture to turn these spaces into wonderful retreats. Also adding white lights will be magical at night. Or Or
