What is going on with the cabinet, or is there a cabinet? Does it have doors that create a center line? Does it have an opening for a basin or is it a vessel sink basin (a bowl that sits on top of the cabinet). A picture would help us help you in the best possible way, but not having seen it- 99.9% of basins must be centered under the faucet. For splashing and for aesthetics. Exceptions are rare. Good luck! I have a design I want to do for my small bathroom. I want to blend the existing light travertine tile floor and shower tile and black granite top sink with venetian plaster grassello clean white ceiling with gold wax to give a shiny look to the ceilings along with a venetian style crown molding in the corners.. The colors I want to use are White, Black and Gold. White: ceiling, cabinet, toilet, sink, door. Black: Granite top, wall outlet glossy black covers, sink faucets. Gold: venetian plaster marble-like Walls, light fixtures, towel rack, shower faucet.
