I think all white will be a very nice scheme and the differences in the white will just add subtle difference. In the above pic the walls are more white than the table, but mixing with the light tan colours and greyish tones makes this gradient of whitish tones work well.This room is all white as well with the furniture and walls, but adding the punch of the other colours masks if the whites are slightly different as the bright colours become the focus. The walls in the pic below 'read' a very pale grey so that would be an option, just ensure that it is a whitish-grey and not muddy or warm. I would choose the sofa colour as your main colour and accents to match from there.

you are thinking about the space right now. it looks odd, no doubt. 1) when you fill in with the furniture, just make sure the three steps are hidden. 2) consider three potted plants of different height, so the rectangle is complete. 3) glass bowl with Siamese fighting fish for each step 4) figurines of different heights 5) 2inch square wooden bar on each step up to the top of the rectangle. and complete the entire rectangle if you want with a smaller rectangle open in the center my suggestion is, there is a reason why this space ended up like this. it will look great once you put something there. things like these are what make your house unique.

Hello Pete, It is indeed tricky to select the laminate from small sample patches. We feel it is often misleading as the small section is just a 2 inch piece cut out from a 8ft x 4ft sheet. Depending on your location you can do either. Check on Merino website .They would show images of the full sheet and if you are lucky even real life application of the same.
