I think the yellow and grey might bring out the gold-ish-ness of the couch.. I'd try to go with more blue colors.. Maybe some navy pillows and a rug with the blue in it as well. The curtains, that ying-yang rug, and the lilac rug just gotta go.. They're dwarfing all the sophistication this room will be able to have with that tile floor and those big beautiful windows. I love the dining room chairs!

Its a really lovely room! what a great place for kids to share. I like kids sharing rooms. I think you need another colour to tie it together. I would suggest a blue tone.... teal, navy blue, duck egg blue. to tie it together. Its a little to pale and looks sparse, but actually isn't. I would leave everything exactly as is, BUT, paint the back wall behind the bed teal and find a simple navy blue wall decal that is fun and kid- like maybe one with a sillouette of a boy and girl playing. I would paint the wall behind the sofa duck egg blue. Then I think it would suit both kids more and look more kid friendly. the blues will balance the pink and cream, but because you have a pale carpet i don't think it will look too dark. don't worry about making it totally kid like, its a room they will grow with, not a kindergarten, and it also needs to peaceful and restful for sleeping. besides with their art on the walls and bright toys everywhere it soon looks bright and kid like. Thanku so much ..I too love the view n the natural light coming ..the bed appears to be big bcs of the headboard n its not yet placed well .. lil bit adjusting is left .. Can u help me with curtain colors? Or should I go for blinds?? How shud add vibrance?

Hi Emran, What a great size room you have. You need to create two sitting areas within the space, and pull them into the room (get them off the wall), also I can see from the fantastic chandelier that you have, that the dining table must stay where it is. I would recommend you go with 3 large area rugs, at least 10x12 looking at the size of your room.
