“What an outstanding job! We hired him to update the countertop in our kitchen and the work exceeded our expectations.
Chris is easy to work with, excellent and careful with installation, and reasonably priced. While installing our countertop, he encountered a plumbing issue due to an old sink and not only identified it, but also brought in a plumber to fix it quickly. Great to work with someone who can do it all!”

“Elegance by NT Trading has been great to me since day one!
Not only they have a huge warehouse with variety of natural stone and porcelain to choose, but they're also extremely knowledgeable at every aspect of their material.
A visit to their office and warehouse is a whole journey from start to finish. They have a lot videos of their previous projects which made it super easy to see what my final result would look like. Their showroom is full of different tiles, pavers, slabs, etc. and they gave me a tour of their warehouse!
Customer service, quality of the material, availability, hospitality and turnaround time are definitely what made me work with them. Recommend 100%!”

“I recently worked with Fordham Marble for tile and new granite kitchen counters. Their tile selection was amazing and they worked with us making creative and design suggestions. They were very flexible and worked within our budget. They had a fantastic variety of granite for our kitchen counters. Upon selecting the stone, we were able to go to their shop facility and layout the pieces in order to see how they would fit together and match the slabs. The shop foreman worked with us to layout the best areas of each granite slab and spent a long time as we moved the tape lines and tried different configurations. The installation was perfect. The seams are almost invisible and the grain of the granite matches perfectly. I highly recommend these people.”

“Can't say enough about this company. They worked with me to design and build my new beautiful kitchen. From day 1 I was comfortable with their professionalism and availability. Roxanne was very patient with me, although I am very particular. With her suggestions I ended up going with something unexpected and I am in LOVE with my counters. 5 Stars. I've used them for 2 bathroom vanities since and they are stunning as well. I would recommend them to anyone looking for reasonable pricing and outstanding service. Hard to find in this day and age.”

“We recently completed our bathroom renovation in a 1946 building in Jackson Heights. It was a full-scale renovation - we took it right down to the studs. The centerpiece is a deep soaking tub with a marble tub surround and deck that I designed. For marble fabrication, I turned to Empire.
Empire had a remnant of just the kind of statuary marble I was looking for at just the size I needed. There was even some leftover that they cut into pieces for my shower niche, thresholds, and window sill. And because it was a remnant from a kitchen they had already finished, they quoted me a really good price.
Their installers were excellent. It took them about 4 hours and they were very patient and diligent. (The corner where the double apron meets the deck was a tricky bit that they had to hone on the spot.)
Before going to Empire I had read the mixed reviews on yelp - and having worked with them, I think I understand the issues.
I would use Empire again. For their great prices and great quality of fabrication and installation.
But just be aware that Lucy, the owner, is prickly. She really should not be dealing hands-on with customer service. Anna in the front office is a sweetheart. But in the end, Lucy calls the shots, and she is tough.
Two words of caution:
Negotiate the exact division of your payment up front. Read the agreement carefully. The industry standard is 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 payments. That is, 1/3 up front. 1/3 after inspecting fabrication. 1/3 after installation. But Empire will try to get you for all but a few $ at the second stage, before installation. This happened to me and it felt like swinging in the wind to pay Lucy almost 100% before final installation. My experience turned out okay, but if I had it to do again, I would have made sure it was the standard 1/3 at each phase.
The other thing that happened that I would caution about - nearing the end of the installation, one of the installers said he was running out to get something from his truck and asked my contractor for the keys so that he wouldn't have to buzz. My contractor handed them over without thinking.
Did you know that if the fabricator has your keys and the job goes sour, Empire is legally still in your apartment and can rip the whole thing out? Yep. So, word to the wise about that.
In the end, my renovation turned out great and I would use Empire again.”
