“When we wanted some bookshelves building, we didn't call a lot of people but of the ones we spoke to, Alastair of QDS really stood out against the others. Right from the start he was friendly, professional and very helpful. He used his measurements to create a 3D graphic of our room with the new bookshelves which made it really easy to then visualise them in the room. Between us we tinkered with the design until it was exactly what we wanted. We thought he was so good we've since had him back to build more shelves in our lounge and replace all of our upstairs doors. Every time they have been, Alastair and Mo (his apprentice) have been very professional, thorough and tidy. We've already got an idea for another job and we'll certainly be asking QDS back.”

“My wife and I asked Tom Maxwell to replace a built-in wardrobe and include a bookcase to the side of it as an integral feature. From our first meeting with him we were most impressed by his interest, enthusiasm, knowledge and advice. With his help we arrived at an initial design and then he suggested we consider that and review it at leisure. He provided us with detailed drawings with the full specifications and a price. After consideration we changed some particulars and discussed them with him and he provided revised drawings. We visited him at his workshop so that we could examine and handle the woods that we were thinking of having used for our project and Tom gave us a very full briefing on their nature and qualities. We discussed finishes and he told us what he thought would best suit our needs as we had outlined them to him. He was also very helpful in advising us on handles, fitments etc and it was a delight to work with him and share in his enthusiasm for what he did. After we had confirmed the final design he gave us a definitive price and a timescale. His execution of the project was first class. The old wardrobe was removed and the new one and its accompanying bookcase were installed with a minimum of fuss and disruption and we are absolutely delighted with the result and feel proud to own such a lovely and unique piece of furniture. We look forward with pleasurable anticipation to working again with Tom and have already made a proposal to him to tackle a very difficult and complicated piece of cabinet making. We would recommend Tom and his colleague without reservation.”

“Edward has made a number of pieces of furniture for us, including a fitted, built-in laundry cupboard and a bespoke kitchen cabinet for artisan coffee making, including knock-box and spaced cup holders. The standard of his craftsmanship, which uses traditional methods, is very high. Edward is personable, reliable, conscientious and talented. I would highly recommend him and would happily commission him again.”

“S&E timber were absolutely fantastic- they were recommended to us by friends when we were looking for a decent playhouse for our daughters birthday. They were extremely helpful & very competitive on price. The standard of what we ordered is exceptional and is far superior to other products that we looked at. The guys that delivered & erected it were very friendly & polite too. Can’t fault them on any level of service or product. We are absolutely delighted & our daughter absolutely loves it. “For our build in 2014 we ordered 2 baths, 2 showers, 1 bath screen and 1 shower enclosure from Victoria Plumb and everything we received was of excellent quality. Especially for the price, I really couldn't fault it. Actually, I've just remembered that we did have an issue with the shower enclosure leaking and this is part of the enclosure itself rather than the joins of where it was fitted. All else was superb, however.”

“From the onset of selecting the product we had a professional and very clear explanation of how the wardrobes were made at their factory. They were very precise on first consultation regarding measurements and their knowledge and advice on our requirements for the wardrobes. The joiners were excellent regarding quality of their work and their politeness. We were given a start date for the work which they adhered to and rang two days prior to confirm the starting date. We thoroughly recommend Harval and if we require any further work we will have no hesitation in contacting them.”
