“We had a good experience with Contec. Both Rob, the CEO, and Caitlin, our contact, were attentive and energetic. Being holiday home owners we had no previous knowledge of potential suppliers for our project but having checked others we chose Contec. They interpreted our design proposals well and went out of their way to complete the project on time in some difficult weather. The only area we felt they could have improved was in the quoting process where we had to carefully detail every item, negotiate costs and timetable to be certain what we were buying. Otherwise, the perfect job!”

“We employed Odile Kipling to design and install a fitted bedroom in our loft conversion. Given the complexities and awkward angles of our old house Odile did an incredible job. We were so pleased with the service and quality. Nothing was too much trouble and Odile was always punctual and polite. She attended at a later date and added more units when we had decided that we wanted more storage, again she was very professional and the quality was superb. Everyone comments on the wardrobes when they come and have a look at at our new loft conversion. A fantastic job and I would recommend her without hesitation.”

“We've just had Robin and John fit a beautiful cedar hot tub and it's fabulous - the look, the quality, ease of use, materials are all perfect. The guys were great company too - nothing is too much trouble and they really know their products. The finish and workmanship is meticulous (they went to a great deal of trouble to source precisely the right fittings to finish the decked area off to be in keeping with the rest of the property. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and if you do decide to have one of the tubs installed make sure you are around to see the craftsmanship that goes into building it - it's a great experience. First class all round.”

“ZLC installed a 4KWH east-west solar panel setup on our home in 2012 at a cost of £6769. The installation was clean & neat. In the first year there were problems with the inverter. Their response was always rapid & helpful & the issue was finally resolved by the software being upgraded. Since then there has been no problem & the installation has functioned without further attention. In the last year it produced 3516KWH, returning me £689, a return of a little over 10% on the original installation price which is of course tax free so it's equivalent to 12.5% invested anywhere else. We have also benefitted from a saving on our mains electricity usage. In the last year we used only 1225kwh at a cost of £234, in fact our total power bill for both electricity & gas came to just £526, so we're actually making more money on power than we spend! Sorry I don't have a figure for our electricity use before 2012 to give an exact comparison, but as you can see the solar installation has worked well for us. So, would I recommend ZLC? Absolutely! Their service when things went wrong in the first year was exemplary & they persisted till the problem was fixed. It's been good that they've kept in touch since, another indication that they really care about what they do.”

“We have an oak framed house and a mixture of stone and wooden outdoor spaces. The Gripsure product with grooves and texture to prevent slipping and to allow water to run off, is a revelation - and a lifesaver quite literally. When the wood becomes wet, you are sure you wont slip. We have used it across our balconies on terraces and this spring we built a 10m square decking with it. Very, very happy. Great service from the team who are very caring and helpful. We would not shop anywhere else.”

“Not only are their products beautiful, Carol and Liam are delightful to work with! I ordered more than 40 oval, clear glass cabinet knobs with a (custom) polished nickel collar for the master bathroom cabinetry in a lovely renovation of a 1920's house in Dallas. They came ahead of schedule without incident, only happy interaction, and WOW, are the knobs luxurious. Each is ever-so-slightly different (since they were handmade by Liam) and quite sensuous to the touch. You have to feel them for yourself to fully understand. They are unquestionably worth the expense. I cannot wait for another opportunity to work with these lovely people again, and will find more places to showcase their beautiful artisanry. I cannot recommend them highly enough! I will attach photos of the cabinets after knobs are installed - check back soon.”
