“S&E timber were absolutely fantastic- they were recommended to us by friends when we were looking for a decent playhouse for our daughters birthday. They were extremely helpful & very competitive on price. The standard of what we ordered is exceptional and is far superior to other products that we looked at. The guys that delivered & erected it were very friendly & polite too. Can’t fault them on any level of service or product. We are absolutely delighted & our daughter absolutely loves it. “My wife and I asked Tom Maxwell to replace a built-in wardrobe and include a bookcase to the side of it as an integral feature. From our first meeting with him we were most impressed by his interest, enthusiasm, knowledge and advice. With his help we arrived at an initial design and then he suggested we consider that and review it at leisure. He provided us with detailed drawings with the full specifications and a price. After consideration we changed some particulars and discussed them with him and he provided revised drawings. We visited him at his workshop so that we could examine and handle the woods that we were thinking of having used for our project and Tom gave us a very full briefing on their nature and qualities. We discussed finishes and he told us what he thought would best suit our needs as we had outlined them to him. He was also very helpful in advising us on handles, fitments etc and it was a delight to work with him and share in his enthusiasm for what he did. After we had confirmed the final design he gave us a definitive price and a timescale. His execution of the project was first class. The old wardrobe was removed and the new one and its accompanying bookcase were installed with a minimum of fuss and disruption and we are absolutely delighted with the result and feel proud to own such a lovely and unique piece of furniture. We look forward with pleasurable anticipation to working again with Tom and have already made a proposal to him to tackle a very difficult and complicated piece of cabinet making. We would recommend Tom and his colleague without reservation.”

“I found this brand while looking for a concrete sink online. They have so many amazing options of colors and designs(I needed a really small bathroom sink which was hard to find other than boring standard white porcelain ones). I had some questions about drain fittings and about some other details and I both spoke on the phone and emailed with their staff. All very helpful and quick to help. I was super happy with the sink I ordered and it arrived securely in a custom made shipping container specifically made for the model I bought. Definitely impressed with the professionalism and quality of this brand and I would most certainly recommend them.”

“Research into various patio covers had not given us the kind of solution we were looking for. This changed, following a "spur of the moment" decision to visit Shade Zone, after reading an article in " The Journal". Friendly and professional staff, made every effort to understand our exact requirements. A range of options were discussed and, following a site visit, a final decision was made. The fitting went very smoothly, with a minimal amount of disruption. The outcome has been a patio that meets all our needs, thanks to the advice and total professionalism of Shade Zone. “A few months ago my relatives house got burgled, after hearing his experience I came to the realisation that everything I own and cherish is located within my house. When I thought about this and how my partner and children would feel in the house of we ever did get burgled I took the decision to properly secure my home. We already had an alarm but I think most experienced thieves know most people don't arm them at night so I thought we should have some camera's if for nothing else but to discourage potential burglars. I took the recommended route; got 5 quotes from firms in the area, listened to what they had to say and what they could do for us. I chose IM Electrical as it was clear that the boys had done this before and knew what they were talking about. They suggested new ideas that other firms didn't and the price was reasonable compared to others as well. The boys gave me a date when they could start, a clear quote that I could understand for all the work and informed me throughout the job what they were doing or about to do. They even cleaned up after themselves which you can't say for every company that you invite into your home. They updated my alarm and made it easier to alarm at night and installed a 4 camera CCTV set. I can now check that the house is OK when I'm away or check who's at the door late at night. They finished exactly when they said they would and I only paid what the quote said. I was extremely pleased with IM Electricals work and would recommend them to everyone, I now feel a lot safer in my home, money well spent!!”

“When we wanted some bookshelves building, we didn't call a lot of people but of the ones we spoke to, Alastair of QDS really stood out against the others. Right from the start he was friendly, professional and very helpful. He used his measurements to create a 3D graphic of our room with the new bookshelves which made it really easy to then visualise them in the room. Between us we tinkered with the design until it was exactly what we wanted. We thought he was so good we've since had him back to build more shelves in our lounge and replace all of our upstairs doors. Every time they have been, Alastair and Mo (his apprentice) have been very professional, thorough and tidy. We've already got an idea for another job and we'll certainly be asking QDS back.”
