“Owner Cathie Tritel is very knowledgeable of plant, flower and tree placement in relation to sunrise/sunset orientation of homeowner's yard. Her project drawings are extremely detailed, leaving no room for speculation by the landscape contractor she selects. She also is exceptionally good at balancing design and color of all hardscape elements like Roman stamped concrete, seatwall, raised garden, flower pots, lighting, etc. with shrub, trees and flower placements. Result for us was a well-balanced and aesthetically pleasing yard. She also is good at keeping the landscape contractor on schedule and ensuring all work meets her high quality standards. She even took the time to teach us yard care basics like pruning and proper watering. We are extremely glad we selected Bluestar to do our backyard makeover! Even though it's winter, flowers are blooming now!”

“Where do I start? Weiss Landscaping was nothing short of fantastic. We did a complete remodel inside and outside of our Alta Sierra vacation home. Weiss was the project manager for the all of the outdoor landscape work. They did the demolition. irrigation, lighting, plant selection and installation and handled the overall design of the project. They subcontracted for fencing, concrete and masonry. Chris Horwath was a top notch designer and client liaison. His brother Drew served as the on-site crew manager. What a one-two combination. They always kept us up to speed on schedule and budget issues, and found creative ways to work around problems. Chris was able to design the new yard so that it worked around some tricky existing conditions and really took advantage of the setting and the view. The final product was just spectacular. We couldn't be more thrilled. We would recommend Weiss in a heartbeat!”

“TLC installed EI Dorado stone in the interior of my home and they did an absolute beautiful job. The crew worked hard to get the job done in 2 days. They were on time, respectful and left everything very clean. I am so happy with how the install turned out. Charles and Jesse are great to work with and their follow through was on point. I highly recommend TLC and will be using their services again very soon.”

“We commissioned Sheri to assist us with a complicated deck design project. We are extremely pleased with the final design. Sheri possesses a rare combination of attributes that bolster reassurance and fortify confidence in her abilities. Her observation and communication skills are superb. In addition to integrating our ideas into the conceptual design she worked collaboratively with both engineers to ensure our project would be in compliance with local codes and pass permitting. She has an eye for aesthetic form coupled with strong creative abilities. Also, She is detailed oriented with a pragmatic bent She offers a full suite of services, including CAD. I could go on, but, in summary, You can;t go wrong with Sheri. .”

“I approached Derek in a parking lot at a local nursery while the house was in escrow, advising him that I need a landscape contractor. From our first meeting, I knew the stars were perfectly aligned, confident that the demolition, plans, construction, and installation would be first class. Derek's vision was built on photos I found on houzz.com that inspired me. Derek's knowledge of plants, lighting, watering/sprinklers/drip, concrete, pottery, water feature(s), hardscape design/embellishments, color were all outstanding and ultimately show in the finished project. Derek's experience preparing plans left no question for our HOA committee's approval. He was onsite to supervise his crew, who did an outstanding and professional job in all phases of the project. The attention to clean up each day was meticulous.”

“Todd and his team provided irrigation, lighting and planting services for a very dramatic modern landscape for a home in Sacramento that our office designed. “Jim and his crew installed a beautiful 20' long water feature on my backyard hillside. Put a lot of thought into it....and it cam out great. Makes my formerly static backyard come alive with sound, motion....and birds (they love to come wash in the shallow rock pool that feeds into the downhill rush). Also installed a flagstone patio, small lawn, a fieldstone rock wall, drainage, drip and many new plants. The final result is beautiful. Jim is very communicative and does what he says he's going to do. He will do what you ask. As you should with any contractor, be sure to tell him exactly what you want. He's not a mindreader. His crew is incredibly hard working. They hauled a ton of dirt and rock up to my backyard. All very nice guys. Overall, very impressed with Jim, his crew, and the job they did for me.”
