“I so enjoyed working with each member of the team at GardenWise, throughout our project -- good listeners, professional, kind, and responsive, not to mention talented and creative designers with excellent problem-solving approach, and terrific craftsmen. Estimates and budgets were accurate. The attention to detail and commitment to quality were superb - - even re-doing something I had said we "could live with" but they could not! That really, really impressed me. The project included a new driveway, lots of stone wall work, a new patio, water feature, and several new and renovated planting beds. I am eager to see how the plants 'return" in the coming summer and how they mature to fulfill the envisioned design.”

“Debbie Friedman came to our home, listened to our unusual vision for a limited maintenance tropical garden in the DC metro area, researched the plants, provided the design, accommodated our critiques (didn't like certain scents, didn't want prickly leaves), updated design, provided recommendations for contractors, and suggestions for locations to purchase plants to keep costs down. I recommend her highly and would use her again in the future.”

“Ulysses and his team did a great job in making sure we got the information needed to repair our house in a timely matter. We had mold damage, wall damage, and exterior cracking that needed to be addressed before the weather got worse with rain and snow and needed a comprehensive quote. We were informed of our options and what the problem can be so we had enough time to think about it and go through with the project. They completed the repairs before Christmas and were respectful of my property. We had spoken with a lot of other contractors that were not reliable but GoodFellas is, so we will definitely use them for our future projects. Thank you for all your help!”

“I hired Chad at Surrounds, because I was looking for someone who could transform our backyard into another area for entertaining. We trusted him. He worked closely with us to present and modify the designs. He let us know when things would not work. We wanted a football field for the kids, as well as covered porch for the back and stone patio /fireplace or the fall. The landscaping was to tastefully hide our close neighbors and provide a southern style charm with year round color and lots of green texture. It is gorgeous on all counts. They flattened the yard and stonework is perfect. We love it.”

“We worked with Garden Gate on two major yard renovation projects, in summer 2008 and fall 2010. From concept to completion, the entire team and experience, led by designer Cathy Carr, was first rate. I would describe us as "involved" clients and our input and feedback was welcomed throughout--including thoughtful understanding of parts of the project we wished to plant ourselves. The 2010 project involved many moving parts, including removal of existing concrete/asphalt driveway, stormwater flooding mitigation, installation of flagstone patio, water feature, stone steps and driveway pavers, as well as plant installation. When the following spring thaw revealed water seepage issues, they returned without hesitation to reroute drainage and solve the problem. The projects have transformed our outdoor living space and bring us great joy as we spend lots of time outside with family and friends.”

“We hired Jane Luce to design a backyard living space and upgrade and redesign the front yard. Working with Jane has been and continues to b e a pleasure. We started working with Jane in 2011 and continue to seek her expertise as our spaces mature. She created original outdoor spaces that are customized to our lifestyle and personality. Moreover, she collaborated with us throughout the design process from concept to completion offering us different cost options and different phases of the overall design plan. Always professional, upbeat and detail oriented, she transformed our drab, unusable outdoor space into a work of art that we enjoy every single day. We couldn't be happier.”

“Best Landscape and Construction have done 4 jobs for me. The first job was removing a long driveway and sidewalk and replaced it with permeable pavers. He had to work with the county for rebates they were offering. He made that easy. When it turned into more work than was anticipated, he did not come back wanting to raise the price. On the other jobs he was very helpful offering ideas on how to achive what I needed. They always arrived on time and did what they promised. His workers are always friendly. He has certifications that are helpful in achiving your goals. They are always my go to company for landscape or outside work.”
