“"I would highly recommend Katie for any of your garden needs! She did a fantastic job of my front and back garden and really transformed it from looking untidy and unloved into a pleasant and neat space. She is very reasonably priced and I can now go out into my garden without feeling stressed - perfect!"”

“Very happy with the work done in our back garden, transforming it into a flexible functional family space. David and his co-worker cleared the existing garden and then built bespoke wooden raised beds/seating with railway sleepers, and paved the whole area. David was happy to discuss options and possibilities throughout the job, and kept me well-informed of progress. He advised about planting/growing options, and suitable products for aftercare etc. He also carried out small additional work on request, beyond the original remit. Friendly and communicative, I'd happily recommend David for the quality of his work and professionalism.”

“I needed a fence built and my garden tidied up so contacted Spruce Garden Services. Someone came out the next day to give me a quote which was very reasonable. The jobs were done within a week to a very high standard. I am very satisfied with the service provided and I am using them on a regular basis now to maintain my garden.”

“Stone Inspired were hired to build dry stone walls with intergrated seating and steps in a new sunken terrace. The design was quite complicated with several changes made during the consultations beforehand. Jason was very patient, gave good advice until we were thoroughly happy with the design. The work was excellently project managed, on time and on budget. Craftsmanship and attention to detail excellent. Highly recommended.”

“It's not easy to find a landscape gardener that is not afraid to take on a big area, which my garden is (approximately 1 acre). Full design, heavy lifting, pavings, plant selection, the full works, sometimes done in the most atrocious Scottish weather. Also very nice people to work with and just about to start phase 2.”

“Karen Laing designed the East Haven Beechgrove Community Garden which was awarded Gold in the Beautiful Scotland competition in 2015. She created a community garden that met the needs and aspirations of the whole community. Her ideas were inspirational and the final design integrated our maritime heritage right into the heart of the village. Karen consulted with us at every stage and took everybody's ideas into account. As a result we have the most amazing gardens with beautiful plants which provide colour all year round. As a community, we can't recommend Karen highly enough. The gardens in East Haven have now become such a special place to visit and we are inundated with tourists. Karen must surely be one of the most talented garden designers/ landscape architect's in the UK.”

“Excellent, knowledgeable and friendly service. We were kept in the loop on all progress and despite a very wet few days the project was finished on budget and in less time than quoted.”
Blossoming Gardens Garden Design

“Becca at Blossoming Gardens did a terrific job for us, and has transformed the look of our front garden. What was a mono-blocked eyesore is now a lovely space - it looks bigger and has so far given a lovely range of colours as the seasons change. Becca helped us (a pair of garden novices) to understand what we would like and what would work in the space, using pictures of previous projects and plants to patiently build a design. She was very helpful with the materials - cobbles for a path and borders, sandstone for a new wall and gravel for the driveway. Becca engaged the Promised Landscapes to do the hard work of removing the mono-blocks, laying all the new landscaping and building the new garden wall. They were fantastic and very friendly. She also found us a blacksmith to make new gates at very reasonable cost, and she made sure the project was progressing properly. We are delighted with the results of Becca's work and heartily recommend her service.”

“I can’t rate Dug highly enough. He has done a fantastic job of transforming our garden into a beautiful additional room and a lovely place to be. We had some ideas about what we wanted but Dug really developed and added to these to create something so much better than we could’ve imagined. The development and planning was always consultative and Dug took time to get a good sense of our priorities and how we planned to use the space. The landscaping wasn’t an easy task but Dug dealt with unexpected challenges along the way with a smile and a solution. Nothing was a problem for long - he has gone above and beyond to sort everything. His knowledge of design, build, horticulture and eco-gardening is incredible and all of these skills combine with his creativity to great effect. He really cares and takes a great interest, not just in his design and build work but also in his ongoing concern in how the garden is getting on post completion. For a non gardener it’s so great to know I could ask his advice on the ongoing development and maintenance of the garden even after he has gone.”
Lynn Hill Garden Design

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars3 November 2015
“I asked Lynn to give me some ideas for my garden, which is in the process of being altered alongside making changes to my house. There were some quite technical aspects involved e.g. making a patio to go outside of some new French doors. Lynn was very knowledgeable and helpful about building regulations, and gave us a new perspective on how we can create a patio that we will both be happy with. Lynn also looked at he garden as a whole, and got us thinking about the views, focal points and screening neighbours and hiding unattractive areas. All in all we were very happy with the ideas that have come together now, and we feel we can move forward without making costly mistakes. I would strongly recommend to anyone thinking about making changes to their garden to consult with a garden designer, as you will save money and be happier with the result in the long run.”
