“Ruth has been wonderful! We hired her to help us redesign our backyard including hardscape and landscape for our mid-century home we bought two years ago. She really worked with us to understand our style and logistical needs and developed a design that was a perfect fit. She has worked with us every step of the way to make the project become a reality. We've expanded now to the front yard and she provided us with yet another wonderful design and continues to help us through the process. We highly recommend her!”

“We are more than pleased with the work Martin did for us. We had just added a circular driveway to the front of the house and had 3 areas that required landscaping. I had a few ideas but I’ve never had a green thumb so wanted to get professional help. He responded quickly and was able to come by the next day. He not only listened to my ideas but helped expand them. He also was able to evaluate the soil and gave recommendations to improve it that we still use annually. “We moved into a new to us home with a huge in-ground pool and spa. We were unaware of the care it took to open and maintain the pool. We went to Flohr, showed them pictures and discussed our problems. They were more than willing to help without trying to sell us a lot of chemicals. They explained how we should clean and maintain the pool and spa. Since they did not carry the light that we needed to replace, they gave us a couple of recommendations to follow up on. When we were in need of the chemicals their prices were reasonable.”

“Where to begin? That was our dilemma. We had been in our home for 30 years and had a long list of items that needed to be addressed. Most of our mature trees had recently been taken out, but we still had a tremendous amount of existing plants in our backyard. We had a vision, but didn't know how to bring it to life. Have you ever visited your friendly garden center in an attempt to gain advice? You bring home the "perfect plants" and put them in the ground, only to find yourself digging them out several years later? That was our experience, over and over again. We realized that we needed someone to listen to our vision and help us put the pieces in place. We were introduced to Bill Tamburro. He listened, really listened to what my husband and I wanted to accomplish. Planting a privacy screen with evergreens across the back of our property was our first priority. Low maintenance and less money spent on mulch was our second and third priority. Because we love to "collect" roses, peonies, hydrangeas, etc., a beautiful flow and design, that would accommodate all of our favorites was also important to us. Bill delivered on every element. He drew up a workable plan for our sloped backyard which eased the chore of mowing a steep bank. Bill also helped us choose the correct trees, evergreens, perennials and groundcovers to fit the space and keep maintenance to a minimum. Most importantly, Bill designed a framework with boundaries which gives our gardens a cohesive look for timeless beauty. The professional, expert advice we received was well worth the time and investment we made. We would like to work with Bill again next year when we redo the landscaping in our front yard.”

Good value for the cost to have your yard seeded. Made sure there was enough moisture after recent rainfall before they would do seeding.”

“We have had C.E. Pontz Sons design and build a patio with a summer kitchen, a second patio with a fireplace and sitting area, and a beautiful water feature that appears to be a totally natural stream flowing out of our hillside. “We had a excellent relationship working with Doug and his crew. Fernhill had built a large retaining wall for our yard last year. We were more than pleased with the quality and detail in the work. We then decided to hire Fernhill for a complete redo of both our front and back yards. The project included a small retaining wall in the front, a large flagstone patio and fire pit in the back yard, planting and lighting. Doug's attention to our project and his crew's professionalism were constant from start to finish. They were timely and finished the job within the given time frame. They left each day only after cleaning up and leaving the areas they were working on neat, clean and tidy. We gave Doug the freedom to create a design that would make our yards look great and couldn’t be more pleased with his excellent and unique design. We appreciated his eye for detail and the personal touches throughout the project. We would highly recommend hiring this company.”
