Tim Lindenmeyr is the other half of the Linden team. He built our fieldstone walkways, walls and patio. He is flexible to deal with and has a great, creative eye for stone. We had lived on the shores of Lake Champlain for a dozen years or so, and every spring we cut back brush, attempted a lawn, and planted our version of a perennial bed. Charlie then brilliantly expanded our straight, narrow terrace into curved outdoor spaces for gazing at the lake, dining alfresco, playful children, and good conversation. Along the way, our dreamed-for perennial bed became an awe-inspiring arc of imaginative plantings, our haphazard home entrance sported a newly formed parking area, blue stone paths, and an amazing new driveway through our magical woodland. For the first time, we could enjoy all sides of our home in all four seasons! And still, twenty years later we arrive home after a busy day and breathe in the beauty, the welcoming sunshine and cool shadows of beckoning greenery, the lovely spaces to gather together with family and friends, or to sit quietly and renew ourselves. “I have used the Grass Gauchos since 2009 for lawn maintenance and winter plowing on rental properties and for special landscaping projects at my own house. The Grass Gauchos have been incredibly reliable at the rental properties. The lawns always look well mowed and the snow is cleared in a timely manner. The Grass Gauchos show up when they say they will. You do not have to wonder if they are doing the job! At my own house they have done annual mulching and installed a stone walkway. The walkway was great and we intend to hire the Grass Gauchos to landscape a new house.”

Keith and Jeff were included early on in the planning of how the house and landscape worked together to integrate in to the natural landscape. There were alot of elements to work with - both the intimate scale close to the house and then the views out to the meadows and the lake. Any time we needed them for a meeting they were immediately on board. They stuck with the budget and offered suggestions on how to reduce costs and yet still meet our aesthetic requirements. They had a great relationship with our contractor and builder and I felt we worked really well together. I highly recommend them and will use them again on future projects. ”

“We have had several projects completed by Maple Leaf Landscaping over the years and have been 100% pleased with each and every job. The first job was a beautiful bluestone patio in the rear of our home. He listened to what we wanted and designed several plans to fit our liking. He is super talented in being able to visualize the desired end result and make it happen. The patio is about 13 years old now and has held up beautifully. Recently we had Dave come back and add an addition to our patio including 3 steps down to a very nice firepit! This took a professional and talented eye to plan with the grade of our land. He was able to scale down the project to suit our financial resources also. Dave also did some work on our driveway to enhance drainage and these have worked well over the years. We also hired Maple Leaf to build us a front walk with pavers and it is very tasteful and sturdy! Dave is the ultimate professional. He gets back to you when he says he will and he shows up when promised. He and his crew are polite, neat and clean up their working area during and after the job.
