“Highest Commendations for Tangerine Design. Jill creates functional, aesthetic & budget conscious designs to fit any need. We own apartments and use her ideas to attract higher end clients. Our meetings begin with a walk-through and ideas emerge from the ensuing conversation. Her architectural background results in "functional" layout recommendations that optimize space and flow. An Aesthetic "top-coat" follows--- keeping in mind the design style of the client, layout and budget. Jill can "Manage" or recommend contractors to bring the projects completion. This is an added bonus as many people don't have the time or knowledge to realize their conception. Her strong suit is the ease of communication as is evidenced by her Award Winning Ratings on Angie's List My highest recommendation goes to her company and especially her.”

“The company provided online updates for the project, as well as targets for scheduling and completion dates of specific projects. The employees were courteous and professional at all times. At the end of each day our home was clean and it was as if no one had been working all day, there was never a mess left behind. The quality and workmanship was first class. “We love our new bathroom! It turned out exactly as we had hoped and planned, and we wouldn't change a thing. All thanks go to Blues Brothers Construction, and especially to Onn. We've done several remodels and this was the most fun and satisfying. Like the other remodels, there were problems and mistakes to be dealt with along the way. The difference with this company is how they handled the issues. In every case, they listened to our concerns without defensiveness and insisted on doing it correctly without shortcuts. Several times, I indicated I would be satisfied with a less expensive workaround, but Onn assigned someone immediately to do it right or even worked the issue himself. This often resulted in something better than we had originally envisioned. The employees and independent contractors were all very pleasant to work with. The tile installer was especially skilled at his craft and went above and beyond in making sure the tile went in perfectly. In a few cases, the installers were not very familiar with the products they were installing, but they were very receptive to our suggestions or pointing out where something was going off track, so everything turned out great in the end. Onn has set up very effective processes for his company. Communication was excellent and the employees and contractors were all aware of the schedule, daily tasks and routines, and the design plan. All the employees were very engaged and seemed to like and respect their employer. Onn's plans were very detailed and made it very easy to iterate on the design and track the construction progress. The professionalism of their process was similar to much larger, more expensive firms but, instead of resulting in increased costs like the others, we think it improved their efficiency and held down costs. As they stated, They are not the cheapest or most expensive contractor, and we found that to be true. The quote was very fair but what set them apart is that the estimate didn't change at all through the design process except for some very small additions that we clearly added. And the same price and schedule held through the entire project, again except for a few small changes we requested. Onn suggested several design tweaks that all improved the final product but all were no cost items and or very minor charges where they clearly needed to order more expensive materials. This was a vastly different experience from other contractors who promised a range of cost but grossly inflated the price after detailing the design even though nothing changed. All in all, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Blues Brothers Construction for any home remodel and will gladly go to them again for our future needs.”

“My husband and I initially hired Gita Jacobson from “in the details” for complete renovations of the kitchen Gita is a great communicator, listens to client’s needs, is responsive and manages projects with great efficiency. She is extremely creative and was an absolute joy to work with her. Gita’s guidance brought a new ideas to my color/materials preferences and gave me confidence to break out of the expected. Her creative solutions turned problems into unique finishing touches: for example, using two different type of tiles for back-splash and chasing the correct counter top. During the renovation, she came by the house when we needed her advice and she was on time we met to look at materials off site. Gita was professional but also a source of creative details of our kitchen.”

“We feel very fortunate to have come in contact with Nina Amouris of At Home with Baystone. We had a pretty extensive remodel of our kitchen, which included the removal of existing cabinets, flooring and removal of part of a load bearing wall to create an open concept. Nina is a professional and her knowledge and experience was evident from the beginning. Nina assisted us in every aspect of this remodel to include the design, new cabinets, hardware, granite countertops, made beautiful with a unique backsplash, sink and appliances. As recommended by Nina, we also added new Karndean design flooring in the kitchen and throughout our living room and hallway. We are very pleased with the beauty of this floor, as well as, its durability. We have received so many compliments with the finished product. Nina was joyful to work with and always available to answer my many questions, most importantly, staying within our budget. We would highly recommend Nina Amouris of At Home with Baystone for your remodel.”

“We have been working with Sami, Shon and Tom for over 2 years in around the Bay Area. As an architectural design professional, I really enjoy completing projects after projects with them. They are easy to work with, very responsive, honest, and they care about the home owners' budget, time and expectations. Construction is always a heavy task. But Sami and his team make it easier for everyone, including me as a designer. Their team keeps the progress updated and provides all the roles enough information in time for decision making. They do have the experience to deliver a quality service. And from the design point of view, Sami is experienced and can provide really good solutions and material suggestions. In a project, his fast feedback allowed us to change the operable skylights to a better size to save some money for the client. (This project's photos are uploaded below as example, where they converted the existing atrium and small master bath into a bigger master bath and family room) This kind of interactive conversation among the home owner, designer, engineer and the contractor is very helpful to a project. Above all, if you have a project in mind or simply need some suggestion of what to do for your house, starting the conversation with Sami's team is a good choice.”

“Nadja was able to walk into our kitchen and dining room and immediately come up with great ideas for re-doing the entire space. She explained her process thoroughly, which was helpful for us novices, and she was always easy to talk with through out the entire process. We wanted a more "transitional" style than her usual modern style, and she was able to help us with design elements that worked for us. We loved that Nadja will share her opinions with you - we wanted her expertise, but she is flexible enough to work around any specific elements you really love.
