We were connected with her through our builder who contracted Marcia to design our dream lake home and she was pretty much part of our family for 1 1/2 years through the entire design/ build process, including furnishings. “Our experience with Wild Madder Design was incredibly positive. We moved into a 1950's ranch/camp with an expectation of a full exterior and interior remodel. We interviewed a number of designers and contracted with Molly and Kate for a number of reasons - their vision matched ours, pricing was very affordable for the quality of their work and they were patient with the many questions we needed answered. They met every deadline and were flexible as we searched for a contractor and then discussed options with the one we chose. The initial contract included a whole house design to give us a sense of the overall feeling and goals for the home, an original and redesigned floor plan and material selection for a new roof, siding and windows. The first phase of our renovation is the full exterior and we plan to renovate the interior next year. While we wanted to maintain a sense of nature in the home (we live in a forested area), we also wanted exterior materials that were low-maintenance. Our biggest concern was finding a mix of materials that fit this goal without the house looking cookie-cutter. With Wild Madder's help, we found the right mix of black standing seam roof, white vinyl board and batten and fantastic windows to highlight the views we have from the home. We will post before and after pictures once the renovation is complete. The layout options they provided (three total) has set the stage for our future interior renovation which will include new flooring, redesigning the master suite (including the removal of a wall, creation of a new hallway and relocating the current bathroom), new kitchen and extending the current living area into an enclosed porch.
