Amy Troute Inspired Interior Design
Colour Consulting in Hazel Dell.
“Amy Troute has decorated all of the public rooms in my house including my office. She has the unique ability to see things most people wouldn't in deciding on a design concept in regards to furniture design and style. She has a great eye for color and scale. In addition she is ever mindful of the budget which is a great relief. We are planning to convert the basement into a media room and bar in the future and Amy is the only person considered for the job.”

“As part of our home remodel, I knew help was going to be needed to update or re-do the décor of our dining room, kitchen, living room and bedroom. Heidi came to our home for the initial assessment and did an amazing job of quickly identifying our tastes. She was able to use the larger pieces of living room and dining furniture we wanted to keep (although we did add a beautiful entertainment center) and used accent furniture, draperies and décor to create a warm and beautiful home that is truly a reflection of both my husband and me. The bedroom is a complete re-do and is finally the sanctuary I've dreamed of having. Heidi ran with the color scheme I had initially mentioned and turned it into something so much more elegant than I could ever have done on my own.
The outcome has certainly exceeded my expectations, but shouldn't be surprising given Heidi's talents. The entire team was exceptional and pleasant to work with - Sharon, the drapery lady, does stunning work and the installers were all professional and courteous.
We love our home thanks to Creative Interiors and Design!”
The Nested Method

“I love my new space. They organized and cleaned out my pantry which has been a serious source of stress and frustration. They’ve transformed the space adding more lighting, flow, and somehow it seems like I have more space! My kids keep asking anyone who comes to our house to come check out the pantry haha. Can’t wait to work with Alicia and Jodi again!”
Transitional Designs, LLC

“Judy is the consummate professional. She is talented, innovative, honest and budget conscious. I had the pleasure of collaborating on a project and Judy was easy to work with and held up her end of the job in a timely fashion.
I would highly recommend Judy for any design needs.”
Emilia Decor
Colour Consulting in Hazel Dell.
“Emmy was contracted to design the Youth Playroom at our shelter. In creating the plan; she was intentional about understanding the function of the space as well as our vision for it. When we were unclear about our vision; she worked to give suggestions of directions we could go in. She worked within our budget to find pieces that were functional yet aesthetically pleasing. Throughout the entire process, Emmy was professional and communicated consistently to ensure we were satisfied with her services.”
Brooke Probst Interiors
Colour Consulting in Hazel Dell.
“Brooke is the best!
We had the absolute pleasure of working with Brooke Probst Interiors on a remote project for our rental property in Brooklyn, NY. Given our busy schedule, we opted for a Zoom-based collaboration, which turned out to be both convenient and effective.
Our project involved a complete renovation and gutting of the bathroom in our 1890's Brooklyn townhouse. Our primary goal was to create a bathroom that would be renter-friendly while maintaining an authentic feel in line with the home's historical period.
What we particularly appreciated was the creative process and the array of options that Brooke presented while staying within our budget. With Brooke's expertise and incredible sense of possibility, our vision was brilliantly brought to life! We highly recommend hiring Brooke for all your interior design needs. Her work (vision, style, and professionalism) exceeded our expectations.
Thank you, Brooke, we can't wait to work with you again!”
Wendy Combs Studio
Colour Consulting in Hazel Dell.
“Working with Wendy has been a dream. She has been careful to note what I’m looking for while bringing creative design solutions to us. Her ability to communicate effectively and keep me informed on the progress of our project was refreshing and something that seems to be hard to find in the interiors world. I also found her ability to be flexible and mix high & low elements approachable and not intimidating. Lastly, she was a joy to work with. Highly recommend!”
Walls too Windows, Interior Design
Colour Consulting in Hazel Dell.
“My experience with Walls too Windows has been positive in every way. Patti is a delightful person and she is a gifted and talented designer. She designed my kitchen, two bathrooms, painting, floor and window coverings throughout the house. The subs are the BEST! They show up on time, are respectful and clean up when they are finished. Patti is very aware and attentive to every detail. She is not pushy, but tries to gently guide. I LOVE all the changes in my home! I would highly recommend Patti and in my opinion she "walks on water"!”
Janet Greenblatt Interiors ASID
Colour Consulting in Hazel Dell.
“hired Janet for approximately one year after she was referred to me by my realtor when I purchased a new residence in Santa Monica . I retained Janet as a designer and project manager for a complete remodel of a 2-bedroom condominium.
The first thing that impressed me about Janet was her professionalism. She was always prepared, organized and presented several options when discussing a key decision point or project management issue. Her experience and business maturity helped to navigate through an arduous permitting process with the City of Santa Monica . Further, she anticipated questions and/or obstacles and presented recommendations to best deal with a given situation. In nearly every case, I simply followed her recommendation as it had clearly been carefully considered; I grew to trust her judgment completely.
In addition to her professional demeanor, Janet possesses a creative eye that she effortlessly matches with the tastes and preferences of her client. Design decisions quickly became “rubber stamp” processes for me as her client – her selections were almost always synchronized with my own style. When our opinions differed, Janet was always the consummate professional and offered pros, cons or demurred as appropriate.
As I mentioned earlier, I grew to trust Janet – not only as a design consultant, but also as a business professional and human being. As an example, in an instance where a contractor legitimately misinterpreted the intent of some instructions, Janet stepped in and personally covered the extra expense. She holds a high standard of integrity, and can always be trusted to do the right thing.”
Vicki Simon Interior Design
Colour Consulting in Hazel Dell.
“I have employed Vicki Simon's interior design talents twice--once with a small Victorian house that she rehabilitated with care and then, after I downsized, in an apartment that she turned into a stunning display for my art collection.
When I moved into a plainer-than-vanilla apartment in Portland’s Pearl district, I asked Vicki's help in warming it up and making it my own. She turned it into a stunning setting for my large art collection. I collect German expressionist prints and contemporary works on paper and Vicki helped me edit and place key pieces in a way that highlighted them dramatically. Additionally, she suggested furniture (Cassina sofa, ebony console) and designed a custom rug in deep, rich tones that made the apartment feel like a collector’s salon, as opposed to the bland stopping place for twentysomethings that the complex really was. It was all achieved through the magic of a trained designer’s eye and her knowledge of the possibilities of color, texture, and contrast. She also had sources for exquisite one-of-a-kind items from all over the world— a handmade blanket, a hexagonal bowl—that added the little touches so important to pulling together an entire look with a real aesthetic. The end result was a living space that expressed my likes and wants and highlighted the items and pieces I feel most attached to.
Earlier with the small Victorian house, Vicki displayed her fabulous sense of how to unearth the possibilities of a home, especially when it has been muddled by renovations and cheap materials. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to express the good bones of their house and have it come across as their own. From recycled hardware to salvaged Victorian trim to new doorway dimensions, her discoveries and options really added up to something more than just the cool little parts.”
