“This was the first time I ever used an interior designer, and BMS has exceeded any expectations I had about the process and delivery. They were timely with the designs at every round, did a great job at staying within my budget, and were always available to chat and/or meet. I was always impressed with the renderings they provided, and how fast they turned around any changes I had requested. Once the design was finalized, they provided a Google Sheets document with links to the products needed to complete the project. The great thing about the Google Sheets doc is that it was organized by each room, and there were multiple links provided for each item at various price points. Once I would purchase something I would just cross it off the list. Another surprising aspect of the experience is how knowledgeable they were about the sizes of nearly every aspect of the design and my home, which speaks to their attention to detail. Picking paint colors with a spouse can be difficult, let alone a major rehab. Katie was able to help both navigate our design thoughts and material selection for project success. After the first - kitchen, family room, dining, and laundry room project, we knew we chose well with Katie as we didn’t want to change anything two years later. “Design here in Naples had been a bit of a monoculture, with sensibilities that run mostly to the traditional and (often overly) opulent. Vera at Jaye Design brought us a more rounded design sense, one which I feel increasingly fits the evolving demographic of this part of Florida, and one which certainly fit our own lifestyle sense for lived interiors. Our particular challenge was to take a high end new construction condo whose design elements seemed to speak more to the seasonal occupant, and re-craft the house plans into one suited for a true year-round home. In that, storage had to be rethought, walls re-routed and re-dimensioned, and space programming reconceptualized. Vera's work for us started with the builder's standard plan, and though her ingenious tweaks and guidance we have together forged a brilliantly livable target design, complete with action plan on its implementation in staging the order of work between what need be done by the developer's contractors, and what can await our own more nuanced additions post-occupancy.
