While my job as architect was to restructure the spaces of a three story vacation unit in an original Vail lodge from the late 60's, Elizabeth's expertise covered custom furniture, finishes and art & accessories selection. Once the new concept had been established we both worked together to bridge the gap between big scale architectural moves and the fine detail of texture, color and composition of the finishes and furnishings. She was open to following the concept down to the smallest detail and I was glad to learn from her how not to allow a concept to squeeze the life out of the elements that impart warmth, whimsy and sheer appreciation of the beautiful. The contractor and Owner found both Elizabeth and myself on site throughout the design and construction and especially at crunch time pitching in helping make the whole design come together on time and in beautiful detail. “Our builder recommended Sherri and my husband and I could not have been more pleased with her work! We selected Sherri to help us with a complete redesign on a second home in Snowmass. She started working with us from the time demolition started so was instrumental in not only selecting furniture/finishes, but also providing guidance on the new layout of the home. As this was not our primary residence, we were rarely on site to oversee progress. Sherri took the time up front to review pictures we saved, understand our style and how we were going to use the house. She then presented a plan before building even began that went through selections for every room in the entire house. Sherry is extremely organized and very detail oriented. She developed a book for our project that contained all the selections for each room down to every detail- furniture, flooring, fixtures, paint, wood trim and anything else you could think of! She honestly nailed just about everything in that first presentation, not only reflecting the style we were looking for, but making selections that could withstand the rigors of children and pets. Her thoroughness made us feel confident that we could leave the project in her hands, which we quite literally did. Sherri was on site weekly, coordinating with vendors, reviewing their work and making them redo anything that wasn't perfect in her mind. Sherri saw to every detail including outfitting the kitchen and bathrooms so that all we had to do was step through the front door!
