“Steve and his crew at Made to Last Building Renovations did the installation of our commercial millwork in the Shaw Retail store in Victoria. The project was very complex containing wood columns, hanging wood bulkheads, oversize wood panels that needed to be scribed to drywall. Steve and his team had no difficulty with this install and executed it to a high level of quality. Communication was really good, they answer their phones when I need to get a hold of them and they are proactive on updating us on the status of the job. We are based out of Calgary AB, so it can be difficult to manage a job from out of town, Made to Last pretty well managed the entire install of the project. Billing and was fair and professionally done and there were no change order surprises. We would most certainly use Made to Last Building Renovations again in the future and are happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a solid, honest, quality oriented contractor.”

“My family and I hired the Stockholm team after meeting with a few different custom home builders. Their simple straight-forward and honest approach is what really stood out to us compared to others. It had always been a dream of ours to build a home catered to us- and now we had found the right people to do it. After our first meeting it was clear that Stockholm Construction would be the right fit for our family. At the time of our first meeting, we were still searching for a lot to build on. They went out of their way to help us find the perfect property, after understanding what would be most suitable for our family. The construction process was well organized, on time and on budget. Most major details were ironed out early on, to avoid any obstructions and delays during construction. They explained each step that would take place in advance, meticulously explaining the details pertaining to the construction phases to keep us well informed and updated. We had a budget we were adamant on adhering to, so we were always given a couple of options to maintain budget. They were very honest in letting us know where it made sense to spend more money and add value and where it was acceptable to be a little more conservative. The service they provide is not limited to the completion of the home, they are always more than willing to come by for whichever reason it may be- from answering simple questions about the smart home system to helping us change the timing for the lawn irrigation system. They have been a pleasure to deal with, and we thank them for making the construction of our custom home seamless and enjoyable. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a honest, experienced and detail-oriented contractor!”

“We used Viceroy homes to build our custom home 9 years ago, and were very pleased with the quality of the materials that the company provided and the competitive price for these materials. The wood they use is top quality and they have exceptionally nice windows. They also provide Hardi siding with the building package, and will provide all the materials needed to complete the shell of the home. They do have some excellent designs for a variety of homes, but will do custom home designs. However, if you do a custom design, make sure that everyone understands the plans completely, as there could be some kinks to work out before the home goes into construction. Their customer service was excellent. We have been in our current home 8 years, and have been very pleased with how things have lasted. In fact, due to our positive experience, we are again using them to build another custom home, and once again the customer service has been excellent, and the price for the quality of materials is very competitive. Thus far, the only major challenge we have had is finding framers in our new area who are familiar with the panelized construction that Viceroy offers. Viceroy has offered to be helpful in explaining the process to potential framers, which is greatly appreciated.”

“My latest project involved renovating the entire main floor of my town home, from installing hardwood throughout, building in new cabinetry, replacing the kitchen countertop, painting, rebuilding the fireplace surround and more. Peter Lapres does not settle for 'good enough'. All of his subcontractors are high quality and he oversees all aspects of the work in progress. He either came by every day to monitor work progress and discuss or he would call me. I was never left wondering what was going on. Any concern I had was addressed immediately. What particularly impressed me was that he made sure that my home was swept up every day during particularly dusty operations like removing floor tile since I was still living there during the reno. He went out of his way to minimize the mess. As the project winds up he checks to make sure that I am happy with the quality of work done for each element. If I had a concern with anything he immediately arranged for the subcontractor to make the necessary changes or even did them himself when possible. I will be using Lapres Homes for future work. You can't argue with high quality work and a contractor who takes pride in his work.”
