“David McCay built our house on Lake Chatuge. He was totally involved from start to finish, from siting the house on the lot to handing us the key when finished. Not only was he engaged in every process, he directed many aspects of the building process. He was there everyday and was involved in decisions that affected design even though we had plans. David was never shy about giving an opinion that would improve the house. It was always very apparent that our house was his house in that it was a reflection of his work. We have since been able to tour other houses on the lake in similar price ranges and it is our opinion that none compare to this house.”

“If I could give Mark and Heather 10 stars, I would. They are so professional, timely, and the work they do is amazing. We bought a new construction home, but wanted to add some character to it. So far they have completed 3 projects for us including a wet bar, shiplap and board and batten. Each project has been better than the last. Mark is quick to answer questions and Heather is wonderful to work with too. Not to mention their son, who worked on the board and batten and shiplap, and it is amazing! I highly recommend them for any project you have, big or small!”

“Kristina and Jeff helped us update and furnish a newly purchased cabin and get it ready to go on the STR market. They did fantastic work and we are so happy with the cabin. They were on time and on budget. The cabin is now a very successful STR. We had to manage this project long distance and Kristina and Jeff are so dependable, trustworthy and willing to do whatever is necessary to successfully complete the project. “We hired CRES Home Remodel to renovate our kitchen as well as to get some painting and additional electrical work done in the common areas of our home. Mirko has helped us with previous smaller projects. As soon as we said yes to CRES for our kitchen rejuvenation , Mirko gave us a detailed list of things we needed to buy/make a decision on prior to any work being done. Much like getting all of your ingredients ready before you start to cook. For our big project, we also received a detailed description of the work to be done as well as a daily schedule of when each crew would be in our home. Each time a new crew for a specific job came in I was introduced to them (or they introduced themselves). All very respectful. There were little "hiccups" in the project - I changed the microwave placement & we added cabinet "skin" rather than paint on the island. Also, there was a small patch of floor (2" x3") that needed to be put in because of the slight difference between the old cabinetry & the new cabinetry. Mirko handled all of these issues calmly and efficiently with the appropriate team. You would NEVER know there was a floor patch. The cabinet team leader , Darius was extremely creative in helping us find more space for storage despite moving the microwave to the cabinet above our coffee area. We went 9% over budget. Well below the average spent going over budget. ...The majority of this was due the decision to change some things (mentioned above) and a small percentage was for the unforeseen floor patch issue. We are extremely pleased with the work! Mirko and his crew of subcontractors are courteous, timely & professional. Oh, and the daily schedule...? It was followed pretty much to a tee EXCEPT the work was finished a full day early! We are looking forward to the next project! p.s. The lighter cabinets are more of a pale butter/french vanilla color than the pics show.”

After having received three quotes and meeting with each contractor, we decided to go with Taber Residential. Nick Taber, the owner, was competitive in pricing to others and communicated well. He used subcontractors who were knowledgeable, skilled, competent in their respective trades, and courteous and respectful of our property. Diligence and dedication were shown to finish the work within the timeframe quoted. We are extremely pleased with the final results which far exceeded our expectations. It was a real pleasure working with Nick and his subcontractors. We are writing this unsolicited recommendation because we believe that exceptional work should be recognized. “We had a custom window high up in our entrance that had to be replaced. Window installers wanted $300+ to come out and simply replace it (I already had the window). Handy Hero came 2 days earlier than others would (and after normal work hours) to do the job. They also charged me $150, half the price all the others wanted. They were very professional and very courteous. The finished project looked great. I was very pleased and highly recommend them.”
