“Ashcrest Joinery did a lot of work for us during 2021, including: new internal doors designed in 1930's style to suit the house; sliding barn door style for the kitchen; external garage doors; new office furniture including desk and sideboard. The many positives include: 1. It is wonderful to have bespoke hand made furniture in solid wood from a local carpenter; 2. The quality of the work is outstanding and has made a huge positive difference to our house; 3. Although expensive compared to off-the shelf products, Ashcrest Joinery was significantly cheaper and more flexible than quotes we got from much bigger companies; 4. Rob Coe and his team are really nice people - it was a pleasure to do business with this company. There were also a few negatives: 2021 was a difficult year with Covid delays of all sorts; Ashcrest was a small business going through growing pains, and Rob had a tendency to take on more than he could manage, so delivery dates suffered - it all took a lot longer than originally planned, and I had to draw on my reserves of patience. Marc took the time to ask me questions about its use and final look, suggesting various options and costs which was really useful and professional. An installation date and time was agreed and kept to, again not always something experienced with other tradesmen and Marc completed the work as discussed and other than the superb finished cupboard, you'd never know he'd been.
