“Jamee designed a custom lake home for our family. She was with us from initial concept thru design. She also handled the entire bidding processing and did all site management for us. I cannot give anything but the highest recommendation and praise for Jamee. Not only do we love our home, we love Jamee! She is creative, a fantastic listener, a problem solver, fun, and beyond professional. Jamee became a sounding board and true partner in the entire building process. Her input was invaluable to us! I think a true testament to the level of her professionalism and excellent work is that our builder also has nothing but the highest praise for Jamee and has actually referred clients to Jamee. Builders often shun working with architects and our builder is referring clients to her...WOW!! “Heidi was amazing from the beginning. She met with me first to understand what I was looking for in the addition. When she came to our house to measure, she was very professional but could see already things that I had not thought about in the addition. She submitted the plans to the review board and then came with me to the meeting. The board had a change that they wanted and she made that immediately. I was impressed with how well she merged the plan for the addition with the existing house. It was hard to tell that it was an addition. While she was making the changes, my son asked for a window in the mudroom and she gladly did this. I am so pleased with what she designed for us. Not only did it meet our needs of having more than one bathroom in the house, but she gave us storage that we greatly needed. Our addition included a mudroom with a half bath, a master bath and turning my closet into a walk in closet. My neighbors and friends have commented that you cannot tell there is an addition because it blends so well with the original house inside and out. I found Heidi very easy to work with as she was approachable and very considerate about listening to my family's needs. She is a true professional and I would recommend her services to anyone needing an architect.”

“We hired Steven to take our rough plans and make them into blueprints for a future home. He was very professional and easy to work with. He made our ideas come alive on paper. When wanting to provide more floor space in the master bedroom for our ailing parents, he worked with us to find practical solutions that made the space functional and inviting. We wanted to have wheel chair accessibility in the home and Steven helped us plan ramps and other accessible areas in our home. He was patient with us when we were deciding on ideas. Steven was someone who we would work with again if given the opportunity and his efficiency is very commendable.”

“Beth and Bart, who comprise the incredibly talented team of Blostein/ Overly, were the perfect choice for our kitchen and master bath renovation project. As we stated in the November 2012 issue of 614 Magazine, the end result was due to a perfect collaboration of our vision, shaped by their skills. The communication between clients and architects was always open and free flowing, which provided our feeling of a true partnership. “We hired Keiser Design Group to do plans for a redesign for a totally new build out on an office space that far exceeded our expectations. We took the space from what was 2 offices and wanted a more inviting feel that matched the country/barn style that is popular in our area. They nailed it as well as being easy to work with and highly professional. I only wish they would have been doing the construction as well!”

“We planned a significant master bedroom renovation of our upstairs that included adding a dormer, a master bathroom, raising the ceiling and adding windows for southern exposure and passive solar. The existing room was partially finished but with poor insulation and natural lighting and no facilities. We needed a set of plans that we could get bids for work and pull permits with the city. Josh Lloyd w Sym-Home came to the house to review the space, listen to our objectives, and took photos and measurements. Josh prepared 3-D conceptual layouts of the dormer options and the floor plan. My wife was particularly appreciative of the 3-D plans as there were options she had liked in the 2-D plan but upon seeing them in 3-D realized it was not going to work or look the way she anticipated. Josh refined the layout which turned out exactly the way we wanted. We're very happy with the space and would recommend Josh and Sym-Home for residential home renovations.”

“He came up with a brilliant alternative to a projected new school building project for pre-pre-schoolers that captured the essence of the philosophy of the program.m And it was more cost effective than the original design in better meeting the goals. He did research on the goals and vision of the proposers and the program director before he made his recommendations.”
