He very diplomatically manages to interact with all parties involved in the complex construction process whilst keeping a rational eye on budget . “Having built two homes before, we were impressed with what Step One Design had to offer and commissioned Mike to draw up the plans for our current home. Mike arranged to meet with us at our lot, listened to our ideas and offered feedback and suggestions to come up with a plan that fit us perfectly based on our wants and needs. He was accessible, easy to communicate with and provided the plans on schedule. Step one Design brought together our vision while paying attention to practicality, finances and the aesthetics of the home. We were extremely happy with Mike’s work, would use his professional expertise again and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.”

“We have met with Zebra a number of times to discuss renos and they have always been prompt, engaging and professional. When we hired them to do a small reno of a older home, they came up with great ideas on simple changes to make things more efficient or cost effective (e.g. moving the door to the kitchen to give room for a pantry - to this day, I love this change). They also took into account the needs of our family (4 kids/dog) and chose products that were durable”

“Sean from D3 has done several design jobs for our company in the past year, and I have always been very impressed with his creativity, speed and quality of work. “Peter Schionning of SOS Design was retained by us to provide plans for a partial basement renovation complete with a new bathroom[shower/bath,toilet,vanity and linen storage] as well as a laundry facility and storage space. . From start to finish, and in spite of this being a small project,Peter was very helpful in presenting a range of options for utilizing the basement space as efficiently and cost consciously as possible. There were height and plumbing issues which had significant cost implications ,but with Peters long experience, we got the necessary approvals As well, from previous projects in the house,Peter referred us to various trades who provided first class service and even surprised our contractor who ended up using them. From a design perspective ,Peter helped guide us through a myriad of choices from tiles to toilets, from high end to less expensive and explained the relative advantages of each. We would certainly recommend him to anyone.”
