“Anne Surchin was an excellent architect for our small farmhouse -style kitchen renovation in Southold. I had seen a friend's renovation by her and was impressed enough to then hire her for our kitchen. She is extremely knowledgeable about architectural styles and costs and was able to work within our means. She suggested an excellent builder who kept prices down. As a woman, she was especially mindful of my needs and comfort in the kitchen and was imaginative at suggesting ideas when I didn't have a clue. I would highly recommend Anne for those who have an appreciation of good architecture and would like an architect who has the same.”

“It was a pleasure working with Ronnette Riley and her team. I had a budget in mind when first imagining the project. Ronnette was completely straightforward with me from the beginning about where my original budget and reality would soon diverge; as a result there were no financial surprises. She and here colleagues guided me through the design process, addressing the elements that I wanted and suggesting additional ways in which to achieve the overall atmosphere I had in mind. The space I purchased was dated and out of synch with the building’s iconic mid-century design by its internationally renowned architects; RRA guided its return to its architectural roots. With reconfigurations of door placements, a redesign of the kitchen and bathroom, and the creation of a wrap-around cantilevered bookcase, the space looks better and is far more functional. I also appreciated the fact that RRA handles all aspects of design, from its structure to the interior finishes. RRA helped me select through a wide variety of vendors mid-century furniture, window treatments, and rugs – assembled in a way that tied all of the spaces together. Having one firm handle the entire process was not only much easier to manage (relieving me of a lot of potential hassle), but it also resulted in a cohesive design. I am thrilled with my new home and I would recommend RRA to anyone.”

“Dave is a highly skilled architect with a deep knowledge of the style and structure of the building(s) he is asked to design and draft. Dave is easy to work with and has a keen sensitivity for his clients' tastes. He spends considerable time listening and understanding the "wants" of his clients and balancing the practicality and realistic options for construction. “Foster Architecture does beautiful and well-conceived work. His approach to problem solving is both professional and calm. My project was a renovation of a 1970’s builder’s contemporary that was visually disorganized inside and out. Foster re-organized and balanced the spaces, completely transforming the interior and exterior with small aesthetic changes throughout, while integrating the building into the surrounding land, giving the house an up-to-date 21st Century look and quality. Foster’s knowledge of the aesthetic use of materials is comprehensive and creative. I highly recommend his work and look forward to working with him again in the future.”

Schroeder, AIA, you have given us our dream home and by that I mean a home more beautiful than we could have imagined and yet completely suitable to our hectic everyday lives as a family with four young children. You listened to our random ideas and put them together into a design that is better than the sum of its parts and what's more, it was completed on schedule (I didn't think this ever happened!).”

“I live in a house designed by RLA, but did not commission them for the job. The house is extremely well thought out, taking great advantage of a small plot. The flow of the rooms works well, making furniture placement easy. The house is super bright as a result of well placed interior and exterior Windows. We would definitely consider them for another assignment.”

Ask him for photos of our award-winning kitchen. The details and custom cabinetry are superb - he listened to our needs and wants, and got it right!”
