“We never intended to live in a dream house. Good, functional, and thoughtful architecture would have been fine. But our home on coastal Maine is so beautifully designed that the builder uses it to advertise to clients! Working with Dave Johnson at Skaala was nothing less than a superb experience. Through the design phase until the last drop of paint, Dave was a reassuring presence. When we moved in we already knew every corner of the house intimately and three years later it continues to give us pleasure and a true sense of home.”

“We took on Briburn for a substantial new residential project on the basis of their website and their stated philosophy, and a 2 hour interview/discussion. As our first and only choice, they clearly stood out among a dozen other architects in the area. We are in the midst of planning now and the process is almost painless. Their guidance is gentle and considerate; their knowledge of "green" building practices is vast. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next steps in this adventure with Briburn.”

“After looking at several websites, interviewing three architects, we knew Dominic was the one for us. His professionalism, knowledge and personality make him a pleasure to work with. Dominic took some of our general concepts and personal needs and turned them into something wonderful. He even acted as a marriage councilor by resolving differences of opinion between my husband and me that satisfied us both!
