“We always look forward to working with Tim Wade on projects. He has the right balance of listening to a client's goals and suggesting creative design solutions to achieve them. Tim has been a strong member of the CRBRA Green Building Science Group which I co-chair. He brings critical design insight to this diverse group of green building professionals in our area. I recommend him without reservation to my clients looking for design services!”
Pamela Sandler Architect

“We've use Pam for two major renovations and numerous small projects, ideas and general help situations. The first was a total renovation and when we had to fire the GC, Pam stepped in and completed the work. The second major work, a lessor renovation 20 years later, is near completion and she and her team has been great to work with. We find her responsive, resourceful, and creative where we needed creativity. This has been not only in the design phase but also in participating and managing the actual implementation of the design. We've recommended her to friends and acquaintances many times.”

“We have had the pleasure of working with Conklin Architecture many times now and look forward to working with them on many more projects. Conklin Architectures' attention to detail is second to none. They maintain the ability to seemlessly blend modern architecture with classic, timeless designs. With quick, attentive responses to any question that might arise, you would think your project is Conklin Architectures' main priority at any given time. Without hesitation, we would recommend Conklin Architecture to any client.”

“James Dixon Architect PC are helping us transform our 1780 farmhouse and 14-acre site near Millbrook NY with impressive sensitivity to the age of the house and the beauty of its location. They have introduced us to contractors, landscape architects and craftsmen and retained careful oversight of our requirements throughout the process. We recommend them very highly.”
Burr & McCallum Architects

“We had long admired the work of this talented duo (Ann McCallum and Andy Burr) and had especially enjoyed the success they had creating the Porches Hotel in North Adams, MA, which had a decidedly Mid-Century vibe. When we bought our little 1950's Cape in Williamstown we knew they'd be the perfect choice to update the house and convert it into an idyllic weekend and Summer retreat. Our goal was to remain true to the building's original mid-century roots and add a contemporary vibe at the same time. Working with a very modest budget, Burr & McCallum came up with a wonderful (and affordable) way to add a shed dormer, open up the interior, create a master bath and utilize standard materials (like Pella windows and IKEA kitchen cabinets) that gave us the look we wanted, yet stayed within our agreed to budget. They helped us identify and work with a great local contractor (Vince Martel) and were shoulder to shoulder with us throughout the process. They even brought a colorist in to ensure we got the bright, fun, cheery palette for the house that we desired. It was a really great collaboration -- they were wonderful listeners and always found a way to take our input and ideas and make them even better. In the end we got exactly the house we had hoped for and we credit that to the vision, talents and thoughtful approach that Ann and Andy use. I'm pleased to say that even though the house is a renovation and very modest in size and scope, it's been featured in Boston Magazine, Better Homes & Gardens and elsewhere. We can't say enough good things about this firm and recommend them highly.”

P4 Architecture, PLLC

“We recently hired P4 to help us come up with some options to increase the living space in our ranch. After a couple design reviews we came to an agreement on a design that has since been executed and we couldn’t be happier. Chuck was thorough and resourceful as we worked through the options. I would highly recommend Chuck to any prospective clients and would hire him in an instant for any future projects.”

“GRD is David Potter. David is a joy to work with. He is responsive, pragmatic, and incredibly commercial, meaning he is not an "in the clouds" designer but able to tackle a design undertaking thinking through all the way through to fabrication. He is at home in the building material resources as he is in Conceptual Design or actual CAD work where he excels. Full package; Design, CD's, and construction monitoring. Having a very expensive, conceptual design experience prior to working with David, his pragmatic approach was an oasis we desperately needed. The best part of working with David is he offers ideas with no regret or client guilt trip when the client decides to pursue a different tack. He realizes the client has the ultimate call. David brought the same energy and responsiveness to add-on projects as he did to the original 5000 sf house project.”
Allan Shope Architect
Green Building in East Greenbush.
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars5 March 2018
“Allan Shope was the architect for our dramatic, light filled, completely open post and beam barn that is built into a slope to save energy. We use the barn for an office and if needed for guests. It is a beautiful and useful and we have received many complements on it. When a tree fell destroying our cabin-like house, Allan designed and oversaw the building of its extraordinary replacement, a modern house twice the size of the old cabin that honors its look and feel-- and did this in a year in an area with very difficult zoning so that we could move in after living in the barn. Again, the house has been complemented but just about everyone who sees it.”
