“I have had the privilege of working alongside Emily Nair of i.Balter Design on a number of construction projects. Emily’s most valuable qualities are her attention to detail, her meticulousness with her drawings and her calm and efficient approach. She has a warm and respectful manner with clients and is highly approachable. Emily’s ability to cater for the specific needs of her clients is outstanding. She is a great listener and is able to individualise her designs to suit the lifestyles of the people she designs for. She is highly organised and takes the stress away from the challenging and somewhat tedious tasks of obtaining permits and liaising with Council. I have received terrific feedback from many happy clients about Emily’s professionalism. From a builder’s perspective, Emily’s plans are highly detailed and accurate. She is very knowledgeable with her understanding of construction, therefore making required changes to plans easily and quickly. Emily has planned extremely complex designs to difficult existing structures, such as her new extension to a severely dilapidated 1850’s homestead in Ivanhoe East. Her design resulted in a seamless addition to a historical Melbourne home; flawlessly unifying the beauty of yesteryear with the practicalities of today. “Our experience with IO Architecture was a great result after inviting their services on our behalf to various, useless, overpaid,council departments. Apart from council "doing my head in" the stress relief by Io Architecture stepping in and being persistence proved worthwhile and finally gave us our expected and deserving result. The fees charged were reasonable and regular communication regarding our project was excellent. We recommend your next project to IO Architecture for a complete service.”

“Madden Building Group were fantastic from start to finish. We hired them to design our dream home and they delivered far above our expectations. We chose them because of the strength of their work, their Eco focus and ability to maximise usable space so we didn't get stuck with dead space that never got used. We also loved their style! Being our first home, we were a bit nervous about the whole process, they were really good at listening to what we wanted and used their own ideas to deliver a design that met our expectations and even delivered features we didn't even know we'd want but we totally love! If we hadn't gone with Madden, we would not have got a design that reflected who we are... we would've just got what we wrote on a list... and ultimately, that's what you want out of a design... something that ticks all the boxes but has that extra personal touch so it's a perfect match for you and your family. They were really easy to deal with and answered all our questions and adapted the design as we went along. “Worked with Paul and Mel on a partial redesign of our house - a knock down of the back portion and a rebuild to transform a small 1880s worker's terrace into a modern light filled, stylish and spacious 21st century home. The pair exceeded expectations on the design: they took all our 'nice to haves' and added them in with the 'must haves'. I feel they truly understood our vision from the outset, so that what we ended up with is simply perfect.”
