“Chris was so helpful with his advice and guidance and very patient with our ever changing ideas. He made quite a daunting process of applying for planning permission, stress free and we are looking forward to working with him further as our project gets consent and we can start.”

“I have worked with Simon on many occasions and on varying sized projects. He has great vision and a wonderful understanding of form and function and a great eye for aesthetics. The projects that we have both worked on have flowed really well and we have both been blessed with some great clients to be working with. I very much look forward to our next exciting project!”

“Julia was fantastic. She understood my brief completely and produced an enchanting design which is aesthetically pleasing and also resolved planning objections generated by a previous design from another architect. Her drawings are beautifully executed and precise. My builder had no difficulty in interpreting them. I would also add that Julia is ultra efficient at sorting ancillary paperwork and is also very quick to respond. The proof of the pudding is that the finished extension has the "wow" factor. All my visitors really like the space. I wholeheartedly recommend Julia as an extremely efficient architect with a lot of flair. Mike Kennedy”

“we asked for the complete refurbishment and extension of our townhouse, including complete removal of ground floor walls and re-build to new layout and extension, new staircases, and amended front elevation. Warren @ DDWH helped us re-design the house completely to our spec and showed us some new ideas in how to optimize what we needed. Improving concepts and ideas such as large master en-suite, new stairway and storage space. He and his team also helped with suggestions for fittings and finishes. We had their help during construction too. Many issues and problems were solved or avoided by their suggestions and discussions with us and the builders.”

“Simon the owner of Devlin Architects is not an ordinary square box Architect. He designs really cool concepts taking your vision to reality. He is very professional yet friendly. He is organised and things like drawings, invoices etc are all version controlled etc. I had needs for a wheelchair user and he made my extension a dream come true. There were changes, tweaks and nothing was too much. My only reason for 4stars is Project Management. This isn't always clear from the package so clarify expectations. Equally I am a control freak so may have involved myself more than needed. Simon's ideas are awesome but remember cool designs can stretch budget - so be clear on your priority as Simon will help you achieve it.”

“After a robust search for an architectural practice that could design my new home I chose Cambridge-based APA. I was drawn by their beautiful designs, a track record of designing for the client (not themselves) and because we 'clicked' on first meeting. This shouldn't be underestimated - a successful project starts and ends with a good client-professional relationship. Whilst navigating a challenging planning process, APA presented me with several original, high-quality designs that were sensitive to the site whilst delivering everything I'd requested (and far more besides). I really did love every concept - a great problem to have! Led by Emma Parkes and Jeremy Ashworth, APA's growing team was always inspiring and patient when discussing ideas and sharing their considerable knowledge. They managed third-party contacts with equal professionalism and interpreted clearly and calmly what was, at times, confusing feedback. Couple this with their ability to stay ahead of trends and know the best contemporary resources and materials, meant their final design was both practical, beautiful and on-budget. I'd recommended APA to anyone looking for an inspiring design for their extension or new build.”

“Melanie Reif of Mira Architecture took on my residential project following a recommendation made to me. She treated the whole plan as of utmost importance and with straight professionalism. Melanie often advised me in her architectural capacity, and with obvious experience & skills. She attended a house residents' meeting of those affected by my conversion, and without invoicing me. Her input was essential in reaching a consensus in favour of the development. I'm more than confident of Melaine's architectural skill and commitment. I've recommended her for another residential project.”
