“Roger and his team worked closely with my husband and me to create the home of our dreams. I had a vision for many years and they listened carefuly, made realistic and valuable suggestions, and drew my dream better than I could have dreamed it. The design for our lake waterfront lot was a happy blend of my desire for sleek, modern with the HOAs idea of contemporary. We fit in nicely with the neighborhood, but have sleek linear shapes and smooth textures. We were building on a very difficult lake front lot with extremely steep terrain and natural gulleys that held standing water. Roger and his team worked with engineers to make sure we lived "on the water, not in the water", creating a design that allowed the graders to push the natural running water around the house and down the hill rather than into the house. This gave us the wonderful opportunity to have access bridges rather than sidewalks - a unique and very eye pleasing addition. Throughout the design they kept true to my vision while helping us add the features necessary to age in place. It is a beautiful design and we will live here forever. Roger Layman Architecture made the experience enjoyable and low stress. We would recommend this team to anyone who wants to build heir dream home.”

“Mr. Dunsmore was very instrumental in the design and build of our home in Baldwinsville, NY. We decided to have Dave draw up the plans to build our dream home after talking to many professionals. We gave Dave a list of our ideas, a basic plan we found on the internet and he put together a set of plans that that went above and beyond anything we dreamed of. I would recommend him to anyone that can use his various services. Dave was easy to work with and went the extra mile to make our build a very pleasant experience.”

“Greg Abdo is the consummate architectural professional and we give him our highest praise and recommendations. He is honest, hard-working, and a "straight shooter". We worked with Greg from "soup to nuts" on a major home remodeling project that included renovation of our kitchen, living room, and bathroom as well as the addition of a two-story great room. Greg worked closely with us to develop the design that would help us realize the dreams for our home and remained an integral part of the project, acting as the project manager, throughout the construction phase. From the start, Greg listened to our ideas and needs and put his considerable architectural and project management talents to work making them a reality. He brought skilled craftsman to work on our home and was very attentive to our budget and schedule, working through the "rough spots" (common to any construction project) with grace and poise. He has strong relationships within the industry and worked tirelessly on our behalf to get the best value for our project. “Slavica helped to combine a one bedroom and a two bedroom apt into our NYC home and oasis. She was a pleasure to work with and I always felt that she was fully vested in the project, troubleshooting contractor issues and delivering solutions construction surprises. She had clever ideas and also helped with designing recommendations when we had questions regarding look and style for our new apartment. Honest, motivated, reliable and extremely creative. “The Donahoe group designed our beautiful home. Seven years later they designed a downstair space for out of town guests, and now we have hired them for a garden room design. Why do we keep coming back? It's plain and simple, they take my ideas and turn them into something special! From start to finish it is Always a positive experience. Now the next generation in our family is a customer. Our son is having his house designed by the Donahoe group.”

“Merica provide me with expertise and drawings for an apartment renovation in Manhattan that involved structural engineers, gas lines, and co-op approval/architectural review. She worked with the contractors, structural engineers and the co-op architect to devise the proper plans and to iron out various issues. She took care of obtaining the necessary permits and was always available to answer my questions, offering great insight that enabled me to make sound decisions throughout the project. Working with her made what was rumored to be a short to mid-term headache nothing but a seamless process. Good quality work for a great price. Will use again!”
