Shalford Interiors
Taking inspiration from elements of both American and Belgian kitchen design, this custom crafted kitchen is a reflection of its owner’s personal taste. Rather than going for two contrasting colours, one sole shade has been selected in Helen Turkington Goat’s Beard to achieve a serene scheme, teamed with Calacatta marble work surfaces and splashback for a luxurious finish. Balancing form and function, practical storage solutions have been created to accommodate all kitchen essentials, with generous space dedicated to larder storage, integrated refrigeration and a concealed breakfast station in one tall run of beautifully crafted furniture.

Schwartz and Architecture
The most noteworthy quality of this suburban home was its dramatic site overlooking a wide- open hillside. The interior spaces, however, did little to engage with this expansive view. Our project corrects these deficits, lifting the height of the space over the kitchen and dining rooms and lining the rear facade with a series of 9' high doors, opening to the deck and the hillside beyond.

The kitchen features an island with barstool seating at one end and sink inset into the countertop. Additionally, a range oven site proudly along the wall with gas hob and built in oven also implemented - the perfect set up for visitors cooking for many accompanying guests. Our client requested a clean, sophisticated style with a modern flare. We took a classic shaker door in a dark wood tone added fluted glass doors, quartz counters that mimic concrete counters and lots of stainless steel accents that touch on the grey tones in the mosaic tile to create the look they wanted.
