This Lisle, IL client installed new hardwood floors, and now comes the opportunity to upgrade the kitchen area. A warm Nutmeg stain was chosen for the cabinets, on a beautiful, traditional cherry door. The soffits could not be removed, so cherry crown molding was installed. A peninsula adds much needed prep space, and custom pantry cabinets add oodles of storage. Decorative details abound, starting with the highly-detailed formal door style. Open display cabinetry features mullion doors, and a soft white interior, chosen by the homeowner. A matching hutch piece adds more storage off the dining room, allowing us to repeat the decorative elements in a furniture piece. The quartz countertops tie together the warm cherry shades and the cooler backsplash tones. The result – a space that is a pleasure to work and entertain in, and that compliments the décor of this traditional home.
