The challenge in designing this 8' boat shaped dining table was the owner's wish to easily use electric fondue pots on each end of the table without the danger of tripping on electrical cords. The 8' boat shaped glass is perforated with 3 brushed stainless steel pillars. Each of the 2 end pillars house and electrical plug and a reservoir for possible spillage. The center pillar is deeper to accommodate up-lighting with a translucent glass square panel allowing the owners to display and change their glass art centerpieces. Ed Golich Photography
