Renovation of a 1928 House

The sitting room addition and kitchen renovation at this historic 1928 Arts and Crafts house required careful consideration, design, and construction. Previously, the house turned its back to the outdoor garden terrace and pool. We expanded the kitchen by installing new cabinets, appliances, and finishes. Two large window walls in the sitting room give vistas to the pool area, garden, and distant views. Materials, room scale, and proportion of openings were carefully gauged to fit seamlessly into this significant piece of Portland architecture.
