Parking Courtyard

The upper level of the courtyard, or front door garden, is kept simple and tailored. Plantings were selected to mark the importance of the front door but to not overwhelm the house. The boxwood hedge functions as both a barrier for the top of the retaining wall creating the parking court and also as a visual divider. When gaining the level of the front door garden, vehicles parked below in the courtyard are below the line of sight, allowing views out to the rolling hills of the countryside to dominate.
