Rodwin Architecture & Skycastle Homes Location: Boulder, Colorado, USA Interior design, space planning and architectural details converge thoughtfully in this transformative project. A 15-year old, 9,000 sf. home with generic interior finishes and odd layout needed bold, modern, fun and highly functional transformation for a large bustling family. To redefine the soul of this home, texture and light were given primary consideration. Elegant contemporary finishes, a warm color palette and dramatic lighting defined modern style throughout. A cascading chandelier by Stone Lighting in the entry makes a strong entry statement. Walls were removed to allow the kitchen/great/dining room to become a vibrant social center. A minimalist design approach is the perfect backdrop for the diverse art collection. Yet, the home is still highly functional for the entire family. We added windows, fireplaces, water features, and extended the home out to an expansive patio and yard. The cavernous beige basement became an entertaining mecca, with a glowing modern wine-room, full bar, media room, arcade, billiards room and professional gym. Bathrooms were all designed with personality and craftsmanship, featuring unique tiles, floating wood vanities and striking lighting. This stunning new basement finish checks everything on our clients wish list! A custom temperature- controlled wine-cellar with Smart Glass, a home bar with comfortable lounge, and a cozy reading nook under the stairs to name a few. Their home features a backyard pool with easy access to the entertainment zone in the basement. From the 3D design presentation to the custom walnut tables and styling, this lower level has it all.

A small understairs closet was conditioned to place a cooling system and a very light racking and shelving structure. Acrylic, low iron glass and thin metal racks with light colored wood shelves provided a great place to display wine and spirits and be visible to various parts of the home. LEDs placed throughout to have a unique glow and visible thru the frameless glass door.

The underground wine room rivals any high-end cellar door, equal consideration was also given to its storage, temperature, and humidity controls.

Welcome to the Wine Vault! This custom wine cellar in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California is one of a kind. Seriously - Everything about this space from the custom wine racking to the stone work to the sleek stainless steel framed doors.. a one of a kind custom wine cellar designed, built, and installed by custom wine cellar experts Vintage Cellars. This large custom wine room sits in the entertainment room downstairs in this gorgeous Beverly Hills mansion. Walls, ceiling, and floors of stone accentuate the dark custom wine racking used to cradle each wine bottle. Metal Wine Racking is commonplace and a very popular feature in many custom wine cellars / wine rooms / wine walls / wine vaults nowadays - but this was even a first for us too. The client worked closely with designers at Vintage Cellars to come up with a very unique look and desired effect for the bottles, utilizing custom railroad pegs in the style of Carriage Bolts to display each wine bottle neck out. This 500 bottle cellar masterpiece quickly became the showpiece of the entire downstairs of the home. Through careful consideration and planning, the design and install team was able to recess the cooling unit into the wall and duct in the cool air to keep this space at at constant 55 degrees with a perfect relative humidity. Luxury Elements created this walk in wine cellar as a focal point within the basement. The custom glass panels and center glass door allows this space to be seen at all times while also creating its own dedicated environment. The large-scale light grey tile was installed on the floor throughout the bar area and wine cellar in order to bring a sense of connection between the two spaces.

This beautiful luxury wine cellar sits perfectly at home within a chalet in the ski mountains of Verbier, Switzerland. The design direction was based on a dark smokey oak timber finish. This was inspired by our clients love for our Bespoke Home Wine Cellar project he visited in London. Smokey deep grained timber lit with 5000k daylight LED lighting has become a winning choice of design combination for many of our clients. The addition of marble backdrops behind the bottles adds further to the luxury wine cellar theme. The absence of 90° adjoining structural walls behind the cabinetry set the complexity of achieving design symmetry without reducing the size of the space. The widest wall in the space was selected as the central focus point of the display. It was also the deepest part of the cabinetry in which the overhead coolers could be concealed. This was also the furthest wall from the entering doors making it the most sensible area to accommodate the deep storage required for wine cases.

Situated at the entrance to the bar area, this modern climate-controlled wine cellar in Dallas, Texas compliments the style and elegance of the surrounding space. The insulated glass sidelights on either side of the entry door perfectly frame a column of bottles. Airflow is routed within the millwork to ensure a perfect climate without any components of the refrigeration system being visible in the room. The wine racking system includes a walnut soffit and base, metal vertical supports and clear acrylic cradles to support each bottle.

Our Architectural Digest featured acrylic wine cellar. This cellar was comprised of three alcoves that were backlit and filled with our Luma Series acrylic wine racks. We created a stacked wine rack layout that allowed for a metal counter top between the racks. Acrylic drawers with invisible stops were added for bulk wine storage.
