We extended this 1970s terraced house to the rear at ground floor level and refurbished the internal spaces throughout. The rear garden is lower than the original internal ground floor, so the new open-plan sitting area was created as a split-level room. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors open onto a new eastward facing rear terrace.
