Maidenhead rear garden

The client wanted to make more practical use of their sizeable garden by building a patio to replace the existing gravel and concrete area. To improve the aesthetics and square off the area, an existing fence was moved in line with the garage wall before the area was cleared and levelled. The patio was split into two areas with the part accessed by patio doors being raised by means of a brick step. Black Indian Limestone was chosen and the patio edged with setts of the same stone. An old concrete path was removed from the bottom of the garden and an area cleared and levelled ready for a smaller patio to be built using the same stone but given a curved front edge leading onto the lawn. All patios were pointed with Mushroom Easy Joint before being sealed to enhance and protect the stone. A raised circular timber edged area was constructed and covered with playbark to house the trampoline in the opposite corner at the bottom of the garden. The boundary fences were cleared of overgrown ivy and planting borders weeded with shrubs pruned back, giving the garden a cleaner more spacious feel.
