In this kitchen, stone tiles are laid in the center, but not all the way to the cabinets, with the wood surrounding its perimeter. It gives the effect of an area rug.

If doing an entire stone or porcelain floor isn’t quite your style, consider doing what this family did, and create a kitchen “rug” out of tile. This part of the kitchen floor will probably be used the most by the family, and this tough and long-lasting stone won’t suffer the same damage as hardwood in this area would.

Like the cabinet style with the semi transparent door fronts on some of the cabinets. Like the warm wood color but think it’s a little dark. Don’t like the drawer pull style. The tile accent in the floor is pretty
