Kitchen Hood - Copper Leaf Hand Crafted Sculptural Detail as focal point and trim above stone molding This client wanted to add something dazzling to their kitchen hood in their newly remodeled kitchen. The were thinking Copper. I wanted to share with them the concept of adding a bit of raised artwork underneath the leafing to bring a bit more artistic detail to this focal point surface. Their breakfast nook table was exquisitely crafted with a classic wood inlay, or marquetry detail. I stylized the design of the center of the table inlay and created a hand-cut stencil pattern with multi-layers of stencils for a truly unique sculptural look for the face of this hood. It worked, it was just breathtaking.
