Bathroom countersThe standard height for bathroom counters is 34 to 35 inches. If you have a built-in vanity, the vanity should drop down to 30 inches to accommodate a regular chair. Regular chairs have a standard seat height of 17 to 19 inches.

The expansive mirror helps brighten this grey-toned bathroom. A space like this would usually appear a lot smaller than it actually is. But the large mirror helps reflect light and give it a brighter, cheerier appearance. The clever use of a wall-mounted vanity helps too!Take a look at more bathrooms from around the world

You can also consider solid surface for the bathroom countertop, as in this example. Solid surface is available in a wide range of colours and patterns. It is made with crushed stone materials and acrylic resins that can be thermoformed into any shape. It can easily be sanded or buffed for minor scratches, but can get damaged by heavy objects dropping on it or exposure to intense heat.Read more:Standard Height for Counters, Tables, Shelves, Lights and MoreHow to Design Your Dream BathroomTell us: Which material combination have you used for your bathroom cabinet? 1. Stark white bathrooms can sometimes feel too sterile and cold, but a soft grey can add a bit of warmth and sophisticated comfort. In this washroom, while grey keeps the ambience relaxed, the yellow countertop injects a lively vibe to the space.

Mirroring the room’s décor, the vibrant yellow vanity in the attached bathroom lifts up the cool grey of the tile clad walls and floors. Streamlined chrome fixtures and sanitaryware add to the contemporary feel.
