Glass House

Designer: Leslie Jensen, CMKBD Photographer: Jeff Hobson Contractor: Harrison Homes, LLC This two-story home has an open floor plan that my clients just adore. However, they felt that the overall look throughout the house desperately needed to be modernized to fit their style. The couple desired a home that complimented their collections of contemporary glass art and sculptures, while maintaining a comfortable ambiance where family and friends could gather. In the living room, the brick fireplace and awkward cabinets were removed and the wall was redesigned with specially sized niches to showcase some of the homeowners’ unique art collection. Below the TV is recessed cabinetry, custom painted to blend into the walls, while providing storage for the entertainment equipment. Their new gas fireplace surround is beautifully lined with large tiles of natural limestone.
