Depending on how often you use your desk during the day, you could put it in this area instead. Three advantages are 1) you don’t have to keep it as tidy since it wouldn’t be seen from the entrance way, 2) the window area shelving & cabinets could be 12” - 15” deep, giving you a little more room & 3) your desk depth could be as deep as 24” instead of 18”.
